I agree. But he probably uses less water doing that then the homes and businesses in your town/city that water their grass midday during the summer, or have their sprinklers going during a storm..

Believe, a wasteful clean freak is better then going into your backyard to see the neighbors out in their yard fighting - and I do not mean arguing.

I was pretty lucky on my left side I had a mother and son but the son passed away so she is moving
which sucks since she is a nice lady and I dont know who I will get

on the other hand the people who live above me like to drop stuff on the floor at crazy times (It seems on purpose since it is always a loud thunk) and the woman likes to clean her balcony off at like 11pm and when she does she hits her broom against the metal rail...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Damn!!!!!!!

I was in the back of the yard and there is a squirrel in the trap. I called animal control, and he is within his rights. You are allowed to remove rodents from your property. It doesn't matter what he does with it. IF itis there trap and they placed it, they release the squirrel into one of the nearby parks, but if it is his, whatever. HE is not home right now, I wish I could reach over there and open the trap. I hate him.

Why does this jerk not want squirrels and rabbits in his yard? Does he have a garden, bird feeders? Some people just amaze me with their attitudes. We have bird feeders all over the yard here, and the squirrels are always getting into them, Its annoying but I don't try to kill the things! Had a garden before and never did get a decent crop of spinach or lettuce, the rabbits ate well though, lol. You put out a buffet and animals are going to eat it, what does anyone expect?

He does have his precious, non-organic garden. I am sure he uses every chemical under the sun.

It is a small garden with a couple tomatoes and peppers, not sure if the squirrels disturb it or not.
Years ago a crow fell out of it's nest and he put it in a cage. The mother kept circling overhead and squawking for her baby. He shot a gun at it, and laughed "that will take care of that". he was talking to his neighbor, he did not hit the bird. When it became apparent to me that he intended to keep this crow as a pet, he did feed it every day, I left him a note of the wildlife refuge number. After a week or so since the bird was still in the cage in his yard, I called the wildlife refuge (federal) and they sent over officers and took the bird. HE is such a creep. I will dog him every step of the way.

The neighbor on the right announced that she was a hermit. The neighbor on the right is a nice lady with grown children. We have an acre of land so we really can't see each other.

Yay for saving the squirel!!

That must be terrible to have a neighbor like that... My heart goes out to you and the animals!

Just an idea, though you've probably thought of it... If you can reach the trap with a broomstick, could you toss some animal repellent over there to keep them away so they don't get trapped? I know I've used used cat litter as animal repellent!

I don't see how he would care if you did something like that! Nor how it would matter if he did.

I truly hate people like that, and I really don't hate many people. Wildlife has ever right to be there. Just because you technically own a piece of land, it does not give you a right to harm innocent wild animals that may live on it. How could someone be so cruel?

Good job!

I hope you continue to be a thorn in his side.

I would call the animal welfare people, if he is traping and killing the squirls depending on how he is doing it it could be considered animal cruelty. If you know where your neibour is disposeing of the remains you might have the proof needed for humane law inforcement.

Hooray for you; so glad you were able to release the squirrel!

One word of caution tho---don't let him see you do something like that. He sound like a first class creep, and could make your life even more miserable than he already is.
Just a thought---could you offer to take the squirrels &/or rabbits to a nearby park and release them for him? Maybe he'd take you up on it (probably not) but at least he'd have the option. Altho' I'm afraid he'd come off with a stupid remark about how "the only good squirrel....." You probably know the rest.
Still, good work on releasing that squirrel!

He's more than just creepy or mean - he's sadistic - to keep a baby from its mama???? And vice versa? Be careful with him. You don't want him doing something to your cats!!

Not to worry, my cats are indoors only. But you are right, I would not put anything past him. If he can't tolerate a squirrel in his yard, one can only imagine what fate would befall a cat.

What a horrible person.
Sometimes people like him get under your skin and stay there. He sounds like a real gem.
Are you sure he doesn't have a crush on you? Going around shirtless and cutting back the trees for a better view...Just sayin'.

You know if people don't want nature around them why don't they go live on a slab of cement.
He used to shoot squirrels from his deck with a bb gun until I reported him to the police. I guess now he just traps them, and drowns them. I know he is not relocating them, he is not that kind of guy. He has no clue of being "green" enjoying nature or anything. Y%#^&&
Thanks for letting me share.
I feel kind of lonely where I am. I have absolutely NO NEIGHBORS! I bought the first townhome in a set and then the housing market went crash in Dallas and not a single unit more has been sold so I have no neighbors at all to contend with. There are empty units on either side of me. I can crank my Bose stereo up to maximum value and sit on the balcony blowing cigar smoke into the next door window and have people over screaming and doing obscene things. OK, I amend what I said, I used to feel lonely until I read your fine letter. I am sorry for you but it cheered my situation up.
