My daughter's cat Christy loves her new Breeze. She prefers it to her standard litter box for both pee and poo. JC manages to use it just fine, much to Christy's chagrin.
We bought both the kit & the refills at KMart.
BTW, Peaches gives a wonderful demonstation - she should be a spokeskitty

I don't know... she's kinda shy.

I couldn't believe I caught her right in the act.

Bumping this up for some new folks who are asking about the Tidy Cats Breeze.

I've been using the Breeze for 3 weeks now and the cats are starting to prefer it to the regular, scoopable box I still have set up. At least they seem to be doing most of their business in the Breeze.
I'm still using one pad a week with two cats using the box. And I've only found 1 pellet outside the box on 2 different occasions. So they're not kicking them out. More then likely it was on their tail or something.

Thanks for the play by play pictures! I was asking about this in another thread and sent here. With each post, I'm more convinced of trying ... and eventually changing completely over to the TC Breeze system(s) for my crew of 9 here.

I'm heading over to my WalMart first thing tomorrow; they had a rollback price of $32.00 for the system and darn I should have purchased it the last two times I was in the store with the intention of buying the system and walking out empty handed. Hopefully my usual lousy luck won't hold true and I'll get there before they would have sold out. Not sure if that would happen in 3 days but then again it was a weekend and that's just my luck.

If all goes well, I'll be back by tomorrow night to post an update on who took to it.

Thanks again!

Maybe you already went out and got it but they had it advertised at Petco for $29 + 10 or 20% off. Can't remember which one.

Hi ... I checked Petco's website but maybe their online prices are different from the store's. We have a local Petco so I'll check there (5 min ride) before heading up to WalMart (30 min ride). Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah... might be worth checking out. I do know that they can sometimes have different pricing depending on what area they are in. So it could be different in your area.

I went to my local Petco and while they had the TC Breeze system for 20% off, it wasn't on sale. Regular price there was 49.99 with pellet bags being 14.95. That's crazy! I ran to WalMart and picked up two systems for now, rollback price of 32.00 and a bag of extra pellets, 8.+, to make the transition in the old boxes.

I'm about ready to collapse after my routine end of the day cat chores here so may just set it up tomorrow.

Whew! That's quite a bit more $$! I got mine at Walmart too but I had seen the ad for $29. Sorry to send you on a wild goose chase! I get the pellets at our walmart for $6.xx and the pads for $5.xx. Sounds like it's pretty similar.

Wow. I'm definitely going to look into this for my two kitties. I had one ScoopFree LB and a normal one w/ Feline Pine clumping. I got sick of the ScoopFree because of the cost - $14-18 every 2 1/2-3 wks (which deterred me and made me let it get REALLY bad before I changed it) and the way the crystal litter smells when peed on. I'm thinking of selling it...

Feline Pine clumping (not pellets) is not too bad, but the pee smell really bothers me (and probably bothers Luna when the box is dirty since she does her random, out-of-box-peeing, which I STILL haven't solved). If I can find the TC box and supplies at a cost of less than $14/mo, then I'm in! =) esp. if I can get it from a pet store, where I may be able to return it if it doesn't work/cats don't like it.

This sounds like an interesting system...You'll have to let us know if it continues to go well. I have three cats and just put down money for a FP sifting box, so I'll have to wait for now...Have my doubts as to whether or not the pads would last/hold up to three cats worth of pee. I also wonder if the prices will stay that low (on the pads, etc.). My cats use the FP pellets, so probably wouldn't be hard to transition them. My only problem with the pellets is that whenever anyone has a runny poo, it is very messy to clean up... I'm sure with the "breeze" pellets it would be even worse, as the poo wouldn't really stick to those.

I'm guessing that runny poo would just run down into the pan with the liners in it. It's just a guess.

Is it really and emphatically and absolutely dust free? My vet doesn't think it's litter dust that is causing my cat's apparent feline asthma (she's doing much better, but that's because of corticosteriods), but I think he might be wrong. I've switched to Yesterday's News, but there is dust with Yesterday's News. I was wondering if I should spring for the Cat Genie, because that at least has to be completely dust free. This is much cheaper, and I'm wondering if cats trained to pellets (like Yesterday's News) would figure out these pellets pretty quickly.

Oh, yeah, and what are the pellets actually made out of?

Well, the box has been set up here for 14 hours and not one taker. Not one out of the 9 cats. I am stupified!

One of my youngest boy cats actually thought it was a big bowl of kibble and just about grabbed a pellet to eat. One of the other boys went into it, turned around and walked right out without looking back and into the regular litterbox. The rest just sniffed it and walked away.

I'm doomed to scoop I tell ya! Doomed to scoop!

I'll give it a few more days but I'm wondering what kind of problem I'll have with WalMart if I have to return it.

The pellets are made of and I thought I read on the Purina site that they were ceramic of some sort. To me, they feel like bits of chalk and while there's no dust, there is a chalky residue left on your hands from the pellets.

Don't panic. It took my cats a few days to start using it much and a couple of weeks to do all their business in it. Did you take a cup of the pellets and add it to the top of your scoopable litter in their original box? Did you put the boxes side by side? Those are Tidy Cats recommendations and it worked with my cats. Also pull out the pan and see if you see any discoloration on the pad. One of my cats started peeing in it and I didn't even realize it.

Hi ... also meant to add you didn't send me on a wild goose chase to Petco. It's literally 5 mins. away.

Okay, I'll trust the Breeze expertise and wait. Yes, I put the Breeze box right next to a regular box and put a cup of pellets in the other boxes too. Yes, I've pulled the pad out a few times to check for discoloration or wetness. Still nothing.

Going on 24 hours now and still waiting ........

I've never met a more resistant bunch of cats in my life. Then again, this is my first bunch. I know cats are creatures of habits and all that. I also wonder if they can pick up our personalities and traits because I am the most stubborn resistant to change person I know and well ... I just wonder.

Thanks again for the help and advice!

3 days and still nothing. I keep adding pellets to the old litter and today, one of my boys went from box to box to box crying and then pee'd on the floor. I guess that's my answer ... forever a clumpable scooper I'll be.

I'll probably put it on eBay for sale minus a full bag of pellets. Oh well, I tried. Maybe with this many cats it's just not doable ??

Thanks for the help and advice though!!

If I were you, I'd take some of the Breeze pellets off of the old litter, keep cleaning it, and just leave the Breeze next to your old litter box for at least a week. Cats really do take a long time to figure this kind of stuff out, sometimes. I got my cats transitioned to Yesterday's News (pellet litter) after only about two weeks, but it literally took a week for them to use the Yesterday's News only box even once, even for urination. (I very optimistically switched one box over completely to YN, and then starting mixing YN in with the clay clumping litter in the other box, so, completely by accident, I did a transition to a pellet litter that is very similar to the transition recommended for the Breeze.) Then I'd wait until all of your cats are consistently using the Breeze for urination before I stopped cleaning the old litter box. (I'm essentially adding a step between tidy cats breeze recommended steps two and three.) Not that I've ever even seen this litter system, so feel free to completely dismiss my suggestions!

Okay thanks. I plan on waiting it out through the weekend. The TC Breeze box is set up right next to the regular litter box. I've even placed a cat or two in the TC Breeze box and dug with my own hand to give them the sense but they just jumped out.
