You are all so wonderful. I am so happy to say that Tippy is still with us and appears to be stable - no better, no worse. To be honest, it doesn't feel real, it seems like she could go on like this for ages, but I know that she could just as suddenly take a turn for the worse.

It's your beautiful thoughts and words which bring tears to my eyes right now. I know how much you feel for our sweet girl and they are they kind of things I have said myself to others, knowing that their kitty's situation was grave. That's when it really comes home to me.

I am flying to Paris with my daughter next Tuesday, hubby will be here alone with the kitties. If Tippy is still here, and I sincerely hope that she is, I wish with all my heart that she will be able to hold on til we get back.

Thank you all, dear friends, for keeping her so close to your hearts.

Keeping the and good thoughts coming for you and your girl, Beth. I hope she's there to see you off on Tuesday and to welcome you home, too. It will be a difficult trip.

Thank you so much Fran and Lei for your lovely thoughts. Tippy has managed to hang in there with us and greeted her big sister home from University today
. My daughter is officially Tippy's human, so it was very special that they are spending this time together.

I hope this is ok mods - if you want me to move these pics to furpics just let me know - but here are a couple of pictures we took of our sweet girl on the cushion by the fire. She looks so tiny now.

Daughter has let her know that if she wishes to lay her head down, that is just fine
I know I don't need to say more than that for you know what I mean

It's good to get back here and find that Tippy doesn't seem to be in distress... I'm keeping her in my thoughts.

Y'know, I can't help thinking that a kitty who is so ill would only stay with you this way for one reason: she knows that she is loved. I hope that gives you great comfort.

Beth, I think Tippy has been holding out so that she can spend time with your daughter. I hope her passing is peaceful.

Thank you all so much for keeping our precious girl in your thoughts. I am trying to resist the temptation to follow her everywhere she goes. A little while ago, she tired of lying by the fire and wanted to lie on the dining room floor instead. I was hovering over her for ages and then gave myself a stern talking to, the little girl probably just wants a change of scenery! So, I restrict myself to checking on her now and again instead.

It's probably that daughter is upstairs as well and Tippy can hear her from the dining room (that's where the stairs are).

She is not eating much today, but still drinking and using the litter tray. She always went out for a little walk in the garden today. She is a bit weak and wobbly though and doesn't get very far.

Tricia - I think you're right. My Daughter has been the centre of her world ever since we brought her home from the shelter nearly twelve years ago. Because she had such a troubled start to life, the RSPCA weren't going to send her to a home with children. But, when she was brought out of her little cubicle, she crawled onto my daughter's chest, crept up under her long hair and snuggled next to her neck. We were approved pretty much on the strength of their interaction and they have been inseparable ever since.

I was so unsure as to whether to include her recent photos here - but in the end, I decided to put them in. She looks so sweet and is not different than the Tippy we have always known so chose to include them. It was a difficult decision.
