Nope, but the Bengals did. Special teams mistakes and turnovers often cost dearly in a tight game like that. I have a lot of confidence that the Bengals will turn things around after the bye. The walking wounded will be coming back which will help out the defense and special teams. A few weeks after that Chris Henry and Chris Perry will both be back to make one of the league's top offenses even better. Brighter days are definitely ahead, IMO.

I have to rant a bit. It's nothing anyone here said at all but just some frustration that has been building from another site about the Bengals so please bear with me. We are three games into the NFL season and with the Bengals struggling with some adversity right now there are a lot of so-called fans already jumping off of the band wagon and calling the season lost. They can go root for the Steelers or Cowboys or some other team for all I care. As frustrating as it was I never gave up on them and never will. I'll criticize them when they deserve it and also praise them when they earn it but I'll never abandon my team. Okay, rant over.
Anyway, back to next Monday night. The defense leaves a lot to be desired right now which makes them a horrible match up against the Pats offense but the Pats defense, as good as they have been so far, have yet to face an offense as good as the Bengals so far in this young season. That will be a very good match up. If the Bengals defense can make some key drive stops and force a couple of turnovers to help the offense, and they don't shoot themselves in the foot again on special teams, the Bengals will have a shot to win this game.
