True but that is going to have to wait! I have 2 bags of Nutro dry left, cans of felidae, just bought them no furniture and Im moving in two weeks and have to come up with some mula. She will have to adjust a little and then I will rotate them more often! Not trying to be mean or uncaring but I spend so much money on my buggers that i need to chill a little bit!

Hi,

We do use Menu Canada and Menu New Jersey. We do not use the Kansas plant.

We perform batch testing on all of our products and we do not use any Wheat (gluten or othewise) in any Wellness products.

Let me know if I can do anything else!

Nicole

Thank you ... May I post this ??

Hi,

Feel Free to post it!

I would also like to add that we have procedures in place to clean between each run of food that is produced. We also inspect the plant regularly to audit their procedures. Since we take our quality very seriously we go above and beyond what is expected in the industry. We are happy to tell you that we require our facilities to pass an audit by Cook & Thurber, a HUMAN FOOD auditing firm. They have a great website that explains what they do and their strict requirements. They can be found at http://www.nsf.org/business/NSF_cook...gram=NSFCooThu

Dr. Sundlof of the FDA said (in a press conference)thet the Melamine that was found in the Wheat Gluten was in a Very high concentration (6.6%).

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,
Nicole

Thats comforting! Im sure its fine. I gave Nollee canned Wellness after the recall (the beginning of the recall) when it was stated that Wellness was not affected!

I was feeding Wellness before the recall. After finding out Wellness does buiness with menu I switched to chicken soup for the cat lovers soul. I emailed them and asked about them doing business with menu. They didn't go into detail like they did with you. I don't think I'll feed the Wellness I have. Not until all of this stuff is over with.

I will not buy Wellness, nor any other food made by Menu or those companies associated with Menu. Firstly, because the recall continues to grow and the method of contamination has still not been identified - until it is, my furkids are safer (and I'll sleep better) with other foods.

And secondly, because Menu Foods, Iams, Nutro, etc. have spent, and continue to spend, lots of time and effort protecting their assets and not nearly enough on getting the toxic food out of our homes and off retailer's shelves. We'll never know how many furkids died as a direct result of the self-serving priorities of these executives.

That mindset MUST change. One of the most effective avenues for the public to affect such a change is to spend our money elsewhere. Emails, calls and letters to representatives and other government officials, as well as to executives of the companies in question, can also apply pressure. Enough pressure and change WILL happen.

It is horribly tragic that a deadly toxin got into our pets' food supply and killed our furkids, it is heinously and shockingly criminal that additional companions died for the sake of money. In memory of those furkids, I will never support Menu or its partners again.
