Here... or There... Hmmm
Yesterday and today we walked again. 2.44 miles each day. Tomorrow we can't work out cuz she's going out but I may have to work late anyways so... I am still going to try and walk when I get home though as long as it's not after 10pm.

When we weighed in last night I'm up 2 lbs. I could very well just be up 2 lbs, cuz with DH and the teeth/non-teeth issue, I have to eat where ever or whatever we can feed him. Which right now has been lasagna, burritos and chili burgers! (Now.. I eat lasagna, tacos, and the carb free burger with salad and no buns!) But it is taking it's toll on me I know. I still choose healthy dinners when I have the option, but when I have to feed him the burrito cuz it's on sale I don't have many options there. I know that's not an excuse but... it just sucks, cuz he gets mad if I don't eat dinner with him! Spoiled brat!
It also could be that it's my TOM this week and I could be retaining water, need to look and see when it was last time that I knew for sure I was bigger that next moringin after doing the laundry!...
It also could be with all the walking that I've gained 2 lbs of muscle instead of fat! But who knows!
I'm not going to let it get me down and I'm just going to keep working out and walking and eating right!
Good news is in a couple weeks we go in to do the molding on his upper denture and then after about 3 weeks of adjustments and them making it, we go in, have the last 6 uppers yanked and they pop in the denture! After the healing with that and all the adjusments we will start on the bottoms! I know he's been through a lot and I just feel bad to be complaining about what I can or cannot eat since he really can't eat what he wants! Though he has been eating a lot of chocolate doughnuts! And I am surely not going there!
Good thing he is so skinny!
Does anyone have any other suggestions for me? As far as what I might be able to do differently or what I might add in or take out of the routine now?

Thanks,
Jill
Don't get yourself down on this. My leader at WW is awesome and she simply says - brush it off, brush it off. It's tough, but we have to let it go.
The thing is between your TOM and the walking - that's probably most likely what it is. My TOM I only lose a tiny tiny bit that week. As for the exercise it's not muscle that's adding on to your weight. We straightened that out with our leader (did I already say she's awesome!
). She said it's water retention because what happens is after you exercise, the part of the body that you worked on starts basically screaming. It hurts (a good hurt though!), but as comfort your body sends all the water it can get to those hurting muscles to help try to ease them. She said that your weight will be a bit up and down while you are exercising because it depends on how hard you are working those muscles and how much water your body tries to send to them to comfort them.
I would say stick to your routine. As long as you're watching what you eat and are careful about portion control, you can eat whatever you want. I would lean towards the fact that it's definitely your exercising and possibly TOM that's adding this week. You're doing everything you should be - stay with it!

Now I can say you are awesom too!!
I had never heard of that before with the water and working out thing. It's good to know. Yeah, I'm not going to let it stop me because I am still down 3-4 pant sizes!
I'm going to keep with it and nip this thing in the bud! It is just a little frusterating sometimes but it helps so much to have someone to talk to about it! Thanks Guys!

I have been a member of Weight Watchers since Jan 29, 2004. I lost around 40 some pounds and have kept it off since Nov. 2004..this Nov. will be 3 years that I have kept it off. (Been Lifetime since then basically)

I also work for Weight Watchers and know that this is the best program out there = ) I was like everyone else and did everything under the sun to try and lose weight. It would work temporarily and then I just gained it all back.

I am currently on the CORE program and don't mind it. I think it's a good one to be one for a jumpstart to your weight loss. The first time I lost almost 3 pounds and last week was 2 pounds. Hopefully, I can get back on the POINTS soon so that I can get back to eating bread, bread, bread heh although, I really don't miss it much.

P.S. Yes, I am still wanting to lose weight because even though I am below the top of my range (which is my goal for WW), I have a personal goal. I began at 193 at 5'6".

Today we walked 3.4 miles. I also did 60 squats while I was working! I'm feeling good tonight. We're having chili for dinner which is very high is protine and low in carbs and
! Plus I had carrot sticks to snack on after our walk! I'm looking forward to a nice weekend. I have to work early tomorrow and then still work Saturday but I am getting Sunday and Monday off now!

Hmm, from what my WW leader said... "ground chicken or turkey" you have to be careful with because sometimes they're grinding up dark meat as well, and sometimes you're better off just getting super lean ground beef and making things with that instead... I think 95% lean, 5% fat beef is the same in calories/fat as turkey/chicken.

OMG!!!!!

I went to weigh in at WW and I lost 6lbs this week meaning I hit my goal!!!
My leader was really shocked as well (losing so much in one week), but after we talked about it we can kind of justify it. I had a bunch of different things like - I had my "womanly" problem last week which always adds weight, the past 2 weeks I've been weighing in at a different location and they said I didn't lose. Their scale could have been a tad off. It was cold at the last weigh in and I bundled up and had heavy shoes on which I didn't take off, and the fact that I've been eating 2 more points than I should have been for at least two weeks (meaning I was on maintenance when I shouldn't have been). The combo of all those gave me 6lbs in one week.
I'm at goal!!!!

Now I just have to maintain for 6 weeks and I can become a lifetime member. I'm so excited!!!!

We use ground serloin. I still can't get him to eat the turkey!
But I did eat the turkey burger and it wasn't bad, I would season it much more though, last time I just left it real plain as to not alter the taste to know if I'd even like it!

Congrats!!
Yeah, things can be off a little bit everywhere so, different clothes can make a big difference, what you ate or drank before, the time of day, etc. As much as you can you should do it in the same clothes, the same time of day, the same day of the week, and after you've eating about the same thing or same time of day. Atleast that's what I've noticed!

Hey! I just weighed for the first time in weeks -- and I guess it sounds wrong to be pleased about 223... but I am! It means I did meet the wimpy little goal I had set for myself, and a little better, even.

But y'know, I see now that I could have done FAR better without that much effort. So when's our next goal date? I'm aiming a little lower this time...

With spring and all the good fresh produce, we've been doing berries and peaches for desserts around here... but by the time I've eaten the dinner itself, I don't have much room for the good healthy fruit.

So -- new policy: FRUIT FIRST. If there's fresh fruit in the house, it gets eaten first... and then if I'm still hungry, I can have a little dinner. I think this will help!

Asparagus is awesome... try it with a little "butter" spray and a bit of lemon juice. It's awesome. Also good with a tiny bit of pesto sauce.

I did have it with some butter!!
I've not had too many problems with my fat intake so I can add things like that pretty freely as I eat a very low-fat diet most of the time!

How does one make pesto anyways? DH wasn't really able to eat the asparagus still too tough for him even though I cooked it really really long to soften it a lot! But.. I guess I will eat it on my own!!
