No idea, if it is a foreign body it is most likely a hair tie, we both have long hair and we do try to keep track of them, Nate says he is not missing any. I can't think of anything else he might have gotten into

He stuffed his face like a little piggy before we went to the vet (I fed him because I wanted to see if he could keep it down, he has so far), and I am to give him bland food tonight - I think I have some cod fillet in the freezer, the vet said plain fish or chicken but we don't eat meat so don't have any chicken lying around! Failing that I do have some emergency pouches of i/d wet food which is nice and bland and contains a pro-biotic. He's not into his dry today, probably because his throat is inflamed, it will be time for his next meal at midnight (due to shifts and odd working hours we are sort of on a different schedule to most people, bedtime for us is about 2am!) so we'll see how it goes.

Poor Radar!!! I hope he improves soon, and his temperature gets back down to normal
How's his hydration levels?

Big hugs to him and Sonic, who's probably equally confused as to why his buddy isn't well

He hasn't been dehydrated so far, he's not drinking a lot but he is eating his wet and I have been adding a bit of water to it. Sonic has been confined to the bedroom for quarantine reasons since I realised that Radar was feeling a bit poorly - don't want to take chances. I am spending some time with him sporadically but he is used to spending time wrestling with Radar and when I am in here I can hear his cries from the bedroom.

Thank you to everyone who has posted, it means so much to me that there are people all over the world wishing my kitten well. I'm not coping with it well at all tbh, I feel as if I am going to be sick I am that worried. He's been fast asleep for a few hours now and I am sitting here checking on his breathing every few minutes. I didn't feel so bad until he went back to sleep again, he is normally quite active from about 8pm onwards, pestering my feet, fighting me for the computer chair, and plonking himself down on the keyboard. I wish I'd never moaned about him attacking my feet and trying to climb up my trouser legs because I wish he was doing it now

I'm sending out my prayers and vibes for Radar, and for you to relax and not worry too much. I know it's very scarey when our furbabies get sick.

I hope he'll back to his normal active self tomorrow. Hopefully the medication will be working on him by then.

Poor little Radar. I'm sorry that he's feeling ill. The really good thing is that you got him to the vet super-quickly so he can't have been sick for too long. And hopefully that means a fast recovery!

Well its difficult to report but Radar appears fine when I came home from work- bouncing up and rolling round the floor as usual....

tbh this is the problem- he acts well around me, like he is putting on a brave face. I'm worried sick that it might be FIP...

He was running a minute ago so I'm back to worrying about vets costs

I'm laughing but if anything happened to Radar then that would be me absolutely gutted

Aw.... I'm so sorry Radar is sick and going through this!
But... it sounds like maybe the meds are starting work, he just gets tired quickly.

Did the vet do blood work? That might help put your mind at ease. Since you have to take him back tomorrow, if the vet didn't do any blood work today, maybe you should ask him to do it tomorrow.

If he still has temperature tomorrow as well as gas and fluid in intestines they will do bloods...

He just ate a bit of food and has gone back to lying outside 'Sonic's bedroom' so its all good

I hope Radar gets better soon. Great to hear he is acting a bit more himself. What did you end up feading him. I know my own doctor told me to eat bland chicken and fish when I got sick after being in Cuba. Not sure if that helps, but she said meat is harder to digest than chicken and white fish.
