For the more curious among you, I have posted a new picture in the Pictures!Pictures! thread (all my other pics here have been head shots, I think).

I'm a 34 J (yes, I know), and I have to get my bras shipped from England, and I have to sleep in a bra, so I'm basically bra-bound 23.5/7.

They are not (despite all the clever sowing done to make them look that way) delicate pieces of cloth - they are in fact expensive, highly technical structural equiptment - about the same amount of effort goes into making my bras as goes into to fully rigged ship's sail.

THIS is why we are obsessed with them, not because of their pretty colours and shiney material.

That's just a bonus.
What state do you live in? There are some really nice botiques that carry larger sized bras

You girls crack me up!! I thought I had it bad being a 36 D, but I know it can be much worse. I can't imagine...I have a hard enough time finding bras that fit me, especially at victorias secret, the D drawer is always the smallest! I've given up on finding really cute ones, apparently they don't make those past C, but I did find a pretty pink one the last time I was there! I guess if your bigger, you shouldn't get much choice. Usually all I have to choose from is black, nude or white!

me too, 36D....but I don't even care about color at this point. As long as it makes them stay shapely, and not smashed, flattened, or like torpedos I'm happy. I am wearing a Calvin Kline contoured bra most days of the week. It has shape, but no padding, just a firm contour to keep the girls up right. Darn that gravity!!! And at 28, I already have those big indents on each shoulder from having these puppies since 11yo....it was NO picinic in 5th grade, trust me!

i hear ya. Although now that I've found my basic bra I'm looking at others... I have a nice lacy black one... fits decently for my size (one of the larger girls here) and I have a very cute light pink 'cleavage enhancer' by Freya... very cute and in my size!!! Really!!!

If you don't mind buying online and going through the fitting process at home, try Figleaves, or one of the others I considered buying from (prices are the same), or find one in a city near you and take a day trip... if you're married, tell your hubby you're going bra shopping and he can help you pick out a nice lacy one...

Trust me, the pretty bras are out there for larger sizes... my Freya is cool... not an everyday bra... but suitable for other occasions...

They don't - thank the gods mine don't come with padding, I'd never again be able to close a shirt.

I wish I were a 36 C. I'm barely an A. Although after listening to all the problems you guys have, I guess I shouldn't complain about being mistaken for a guy in a pink tank top.

I got a great "enhancer" bra from Victoria's secret catalog, not that I need enhancing, I just need a shelf really for them to sit somewhere in the same hemisphere as the rest of my upper torso! And I made the mistake of buying the "demi" version, thinking, well, if I wear a lower cut top then you won't see the bra....big mistake. Some days I swear I'm gonna end up with a boob in my soup! And god forbid you drop your keys & bend over to pick them up?! Yup, it's the good old "quadra-boob" look....4 boobs for the price of 2!!!

My sentiments exactly....although I do need the thin (but firm) contoured bras, to shape them more towards the front of me, and less towards my armpits....

I think maybe you should double check that you're not wearing the wrong size. If your back size is too big, and the cup is too small, you'll end up with that kind of effect - so say you're wearing a 36D, maybe you should try 34 DD and 34 E.

The back size should be snug on it's longest setting when you first buy it (the shorter settings are for when the bra ages and the material isn't as supportive). Remember, the back should be doing most of the work - the straps shouldn't dig in, even a little.

no, that's the way mine are shaped naturally, they are very full....like ovals, but sideways....so they seperate in the middle with no bra....and even a bra with no shaping (like the victoria's secret deep V bras, that are just underwire) still allow my boobs to hang wider than I'd like. I wish I was a 34....I'd have alot less ugly "back fat"!

For those that asked about my wife and the situation, this is a "parody thread" of this thread: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...highlight=ipex

I've never even been married.
