Update 2/23/20: Don't know what helped but things are pretty much back to normal. Used the plug-ins, vanilla extract, wipes. Could be they just needed time. At any rate, it's all good now. Thanks for the help.
I have 2 - 5 yo cats, brother and sister. Bonded pair. Had them for 5 years. Desi, the boy, had dental surgery on Wednesday. Brought him home later in the day and Lucy has been growling at him every since. It's been 2 days now. I was out for a few hours today and when I came home they...
First, thank you all for your condolences.
I'm very sure there was no injury and, believe it or not, I have not been too emotional since his death as he was very sick for the past year but she still could have picked up on my grief during those first couple of weeks. I really hate taking her...
The tip of my 3 yo Lucy's tail is missing fur. It's just on the very tip. She will chase her tail when she is on the bed doing her crazy thing (she loves the sheets and blankets) and stop to lick it for a moment but I have never seen her be obsessive with it. She is a very needy cat and likes to...
My two 3 y/o siblings do not like people other than me in the house. They immediately head under the bed if the doorbell rings and someone enters the house. I very rarely get company except for the housekeeper every two weeks. I am going to be going away on vacation this summer for 2 weeks and...
Has anyone using this litter noticed a change? I have been using it exclusively since I got my cats almost 3 years ago. However, in the past few months it is very dusty and builds up in the bottom of the litter box so you have to scrape it off. It never had it do this before. I wrote to the...
I have her confined to our office. She seems to be more comfortable this afternoon after the narcotic kicked in. More calm. Still not sleeping much. She is liking it when I pet her. She stretches out and purrs.
She ate some kibble and some of her wet food. More importantly, she just used the...
My 2 year old female came over to my chair last night and slipped getting up (leather recliner with a blanket on it). Tried again and same thing happened. Noticed a little later she was limping with her right hind leg. Sore to touch. Growling at me. Took her to ER vet. No X-ray but vet thought...
Well, we arrived home on Wednesday after being gone for 3½ weeks. I had my husband's nephew come by every morning and evening for food and litter. I also recruited 3 ladies to take turns come over and be around the house for a little while just so there was some human activity. None of the women...
No chance of him taking them to his house. 3 children under the age of 8!
I also have 2-3 other people who will be stopping by to try to interact with them. Still feel this is better than boarding them. At least they are comfortable in their own surroundings.
I left my young cats for 8 days in December while I went on vacation. My nephew looked in on them twice a day, feeding them and cleaning out litter box. He never saw them the whole time. They did great and were like we had never been away immediately upon our return home. They are...
My Lucy loves to lay on my lap while I am on the computer. When I stroke her little paws she then wraps them around my fingers and kneads them. She will close her nails around my finger and keep them that way while I rub her feet. Never had a cat do this. She is 13 mo old. Another weird...
My 2 teenagers have discovered it is fun to pull tissues out of the box and napkins out of the holder and shred them. More things to put up out of their reach!
A little off topic but I found my husband's magic keyboard on the floor this morning and the batteries strewn across the floor. Guess the kids wanted something different to play with during the night.
Just arrived home. Caretaker never saw the cats during the whole week he watched them for me. They were both out greeting us within 5 minutes of our being home. Right now Lucy is waiting for me to sit down so she can join me.
So thrilled it went well!!!!!
