I have been feeding Evo dry to my finicky eater for years. They recently changed the formula and he won't eat it now. Evo just had another voluntary recall. I would go with something else. I am in desperate search of a new dry food that my boy will eat. I've tried dozens and no luck so far.
Zuri (poopy kitty) just turned 5. The other male Brody is 6. We've had them both since they were months old. I saw Zuri pee in the high sided box this morning. Looks like he has no troubles getting in or out. Thanks!
It started intermittently in April and has progressed to what it is now. No real changes that would explain his symptoms. He plays well, runs and jumps for his toys so I don't think it's an arthritis issue. I wonder if he may have injured himself during play. MRI has been mentioned but vet wants...
Zuri is typically very laidback. Box placement isn't an issue. He uses two different boxes in two different locations to pee. He sometimes uses the one box to poop but not always. Thank you for the comment/suggestion.
I am working with my vet on ruling out a pain issue. When this short trial is...
After a few months of treating for constipation through diet change and addition of Miralax my vet and I discovered my Zuri was also storing his urine. This may have been happening for awhile as I hadn't paid that much attention to the urine output until I started monitoring his box habits. Vet...
I have two sick kitties right now and it may be just coincidence but they both get the treats. Or at least they did until now. They have never thrown up or had diarrhea but are now exhibiting symptoms I attributed to stress but maybe it is these treats. Maybe not. I just read the same...
Regarding wet food. My cats don't take to it too well and now one of my thin boys is turning his nose up to everything I offer. I'm worried that he will stop eating completely, he is only 7lbs. As of yet I have only tried "pate" styles. It seems like the stronger the smell, the higher his nose...
I know this is an older post but can I ask what dry food you started feeding? I am currently having constipation issues with one male and I believe it is because of a "grain-free" diet.
Mine does the same thing. He must know it is wrong and I caught him "in the act" a few times, picked him up and put him by the boxes thinking he might hop in. Big mistake as I believe all I did was stress him out even more.
I'm curious as the last post was a while ago, was JoJo able to resolve...
I am having the same issue with one of my felines. He goes pee in the box but poops outside and away from it. He has been having a constipation issue that I am working on getting resolved through diet change. Funny you should mention a behaviourist. I will be visiting a pet communicator and am...
Better to get them acclimated to different foods when they are young. I'm having a hard time switching wet brands. Right now they are eating Natural Balance Indoor with contain careenegen so I was thinking it might be good to put something new in the rotation. But, both seem finicky with...
I could have written this post only now I have issues with one constipated and one thin/finicky cat. I also don't have as much a problem with cost. I too had three cats that lived to be over 15, the oldest was 21 when he crossed over. I too am at my wit's end and hope to find relief at...
