My son who lives out of town adopted a cat a month or so ago. Not long after one of her eyes was noticeably drippy. He took her to the vet and was given Tobradex in drop form. Understandably he has had such difficulty giving the kitty these drops . For those of you with experience with this...
We have had him since he was a kitten. He has been indoor/outdoor his whole life.
He is the classic cranky cat who is completely fearless.
But he seems to love his two friends, our almost 5 year old brown tabby (shown in my avatar) and our 4 year old Japanese Bobtail (shown in the picture).
We have had our 18 year old orange tabby since she was a 2 month old kitten.
He is and has been an indoor and outdoor cat for much of that time...even now.
He has had kidney disease for a number of years, arthritis the last few and now deaf.
Even with all these serious health issues I can...
I do feed our cats mostly high quality wet but there are times that dry can be helpful to our family routine.
Farmina Pet Foods - Cat food - N&D Grain Free Feline
Just wondering how this lineup of dry food ie N&D Grain Free Feline stacks up against the top tier drys eg Orijen
(I would never...
Just to confirm...this is the Tiki Chicken you are referring to?

PRIMAL freeze dried is a staple of our cats' diets.
One of the flavours we use is "Chicken and Salmon". Given that one of our cats is sensitive to anything beef we cant be too choosy re flavours when rotating through cat food flavours :(.
'jenny', I just discovered this thread and all I can say is that I am in awe. I can only imagine how time consuming and expensive Reeves care has been. You obviously know that life is special. Thank you.
Maybe this deserves another thread but I have always wondered about this.
Why is it not part of a feline's evolved physiology to seek out water whenever it is lacking in their solid food diet?
Is this the same for say...dogs?
Just today I picked up a bag of the "Subzero" (the "Fraser Valley" flavour).
All three of our kitties liked the taste for this the first time trying it.
A bit off topic but might it not be the case that there might be strain(s) of "good" bacteria that are unique to felines and so not in any human grade probiotic?
So it is different in that respect to the PRIMAL nuggets which are freeze dried?
(Am I safe in assuming that neither product needs to be refrigerated after opening?)
I like the idea of freeze dried food for our cats.
We have much more experience with PRIMAL but this past weekend I purchased for the first time an "Honest Kitchen" offering.

Although it is grain free there does seem to be (too?) many vegetables (eg...
UPDATE:
We brought her in earlier this week and she was administered the first of the two FeLV shots with the second to occur a month later.
(Looking at her records we now realize that the breeder omitted the FeLV shots when she was a kitten and so he she has not had these shots at all until...
We have 1 indoor/outdoor cat and 2 indoor *only* cats. The one that goes outdoor gets the full panel of vaccinations ie Rabies, FVRCP and FeLeuk. The other 2 get all but the FeLeuk. But I do wonder if the 2 indoor kitties should also get FeLV. I am not concerned that they will escape into the...
(As I had mentioned the vomiting occurred after he got home from the vet. He is now just fine in that respect.)
I am surprised that you don't seem to know or have heard of "Orijen" cat food. It is arguably the highest quality dry food available for cats. His diet consists of 90% canned food...
I took our 15.5 year old indoor outdoor cat to the clinic this past week as I wanted them to check out his teeth and gums carefully. I had noticed he seemed a bit sensitive to kibble while eating and I was thinking that maybe he had a sore tooth or something else not quite right dental related...
