My 7 month old Toki is endlessly trying to play hunt/tackle/dominate my 3 month old Inky... who refuses each of his attempts with hissing and yelling! They've been together for two weeks, but the new baby is still scared of the big boy. Nails are all trimmed and the Feliway is plugged...
Toki just won't stop hunting/pouncing on her... She hisses and yells every time he tries to play with her. Should I discourage Toki from doing this? I don't want the kitten to develop any psychological issues But all is happy and fine when DaBird is involved!
Yes, baby Inky is sooo brave. She'll retreat and then run back for more playing in an instant. And poor brother tabby :( We're lucky Toki didn't act that way for more than a day!! I'm glad they can tolerate each other now. The kittens just had a play session together and Toki loves to get on...
Thank you! Today was even better :).
Toki pins her down and just wants to play nip and lick her... Now if we can only get Inky to respond nicely without hissing and freaking out!

Hmm...I took a video of their supervised together time tonight just in case anyone has time to review it... They were playing SO well together, then Toki charges and plays rough with her despite his panting. :( Concerned mama over here! Is this normal/okay to let happen?
Thanks to both of you! I think the Feliway and the composure is helping too. Time will tell!
I am just wondering if I should let the supervised "fights" work their way out on their own (as long as no blood or fur starts to fly, like you said!) because I've been stopping them every time...
Thank you, @jcat! I think it's deep down that I love any kind of animal... And that goes for many people too, I hope! I've definitely found a respect and awe of cats. Such graceful yet quirky beings :) I'm lucky to have two very social and loving kitties!!
Hello!

I'm new to this site! I rescued two feral kittens and came to this site to seek some tips for acclimating the two. I've always been a dog owner but college/apartment life has left me large furbaby-less...so when I heard the opportunity to rescue and help some kitties in need, I'm now a proud...
