I wouldn't buy a purebred cat.... those things are super expensive!  Have always wanted a Maine Coon, though!

Thank you all, I feel a lot better about what I am doing now :)  I've been able to inspect both cats, as they are quite affectionate now that they are separate.  Luckily neither seems to have any wounds from the fight.  Unfortunately, the Feliaway dispenser is out of my budget at this time...
