    Need Help please

Just be careful of what kind of herbal oils you use in a humidifier. Some are toxic to cats. I would just use a normal humidifier, if you go that route, and just use distilled water in it (to prevent residual buildup and give the humidifier longevity). However, rather than getting advice over...

My cat fell from the third floor

I'm sorry, but why are you on a forum when this is something that needs to be seen by a veterinarian immediately? There are so many things that can be wrong, from facial and skull fractures and other bone fractures, to internal bleeding.

    Medication Costs

Yes, you can always ask for a prescription or buy your medication online. Online pharmacies, like 1800PetMeds, usually fax an approval request to your veterinarian. Markups happen because a veterinary clinic is a business that needs to pay their staff, electric, water, and rent, as well as...

Questions On Declawing And Why It's Inhumane

There is a really good documentary on declawing as well: http://www.pawprojectmovie.com/ It used to be available on Netflix. I don't know if it's there anymore though. Edit: I just checked Netflix and it is not available. You can rent it on YouTube or Google. It really is a great documentary.

Cat who had crystals and blockage

The point in the specific urinary food that they prescribed is to change your cats urinary environment. Certain crystalline formations occur in certain environments. The food is specifically formulated to reverse it and help to reduce crystal formation. Urinary crystals are the main culprit for...

You must realize that many people on here are not veterinary professionals. The best advice you will receive is from your veterinarian. And if you want a second opinion, you can go see another veterinarian.

Can change in cat food/cat litter cause cat poop to become grey?

I have pet insurance on all four of my cats through Nationwide. It is definitely a good thing to have, especially if you're blessed with a cat that likes to eat things (I just spent $600 in January on one of mine for an intestinal blockage from a hair tie...). Definitely kitty-proof your house...

Can change in cat food/cat litter cause cat poop to become grey?

My advice to you would to continue to monitor his feces. If they are consistently gray, take him to the vet. If he becomes lethargic or start vomiting or having diarrhea, take him to the vet. I completely understand being a college student and being tight on finances. The only thing that helped...

    Pancreatitis advice?

The veterinarians that I work with and I were just having a discussion about pancreatitis in cats. We have not seen a cat live much longer after being diagnosed with pancreatitis. It is a very serious illness that is often times not caught in time. Cats are very good at hiding illness, something...

Can change in cat food/cat litter cause cat poop to become grey?

I think you should take your cat back to the vet and have them run a full blood panel on him, checking specifically the organ functions. If he has pica, it actually concerns me that he has actually eaten something to affect his liver or bile duct, since bile is what gives feces its brown color.

    Goofball behavior

My kitty, Atlas, is VERY vocal. He lets me know EVERYTHING he's going to do. When he jumps up in front of my computer, he makes a very loud announcement, and as he jumps he lets out a rumble. Every single time. He announces when he uses the litter box. He announces when he's in the bathtub...

So you'll use evidence to support you when it benefits your argument, but ignore it when it doesn't. I urge you to stop looking at a flea collar being a flea collar and look at it as a chemical(s), which it is, just like revolution. Some ingredients are more toxic than others. With that being...

Also fyi: Anything topical that you put on a cat can cause a reaction. I've seen a cat with a reaction to revolution. It is an individual case. The Seresto collar has been very successful and we recommend it to a lot of our clients who are looking for a long term prevention. The collar is...

The Seresto collar is actually safe. Many of the flea collars you buy from the store, made by Hartz and Adams, contain unsafe ingredients for cats. I can assure you that the Seresto collar, made by Bayer, is unlike the other collars. I wouldn't put it on my cat if I didn't trust it...
