Wow, thank you very much. I really appreciate the help! I'll be sure to start that out sooner rather than later and take a look over that thread now.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Unfortunately nobody will be available to take care of her unless I myself stay behind which I am considering. Still, at some point I will have to take her so I can help out my parents. I suppose I could find a paid carer but money will be tight so I'll have to...

Thanks flojo, I'm already making quick paces it seems thanks to some teaching about the site. Learning about her preferred food is quite interesting, I might toss up a blog to detail my adventures in cat care. And yes, she seems to be making her rounds about the house at her leisure already.

Yes they are. If they mix well the visit would be around a month depending on work. One of them does have FeLV so she will of course need to be vaccinated before exposure too.

    The first panic with Pelhi.

Me too! I never took myself for a cat person but I guess I'm a lot more attached than I thought already. She has been a little grouchy since we chased her out of her pizza laden hiding hole but thankfully she's snoozing quietly under my fiance's bedroom couch. Ah, as soon as she has settled in...

Yeah! One more hiding hole to add to the list, though maybe we should have that housemate find a better place to store garbage first. Well, I guess I'm ready to take on whatever Pelhi throws at us next.

    The first panic with Pelhi.

Naturally no sooner do I post a solution prompts itself ... It turns out our room mate in question was keeping garbage bags under her bed with rubbish in them. Pelhi seemed to have scavenged a meal and fallen asleep. Here's hoping she didn't eat anything too bad by then I'd rather scrub a mess...

    The first panic with Pelhi.

So, this evening my house mate left the door headphones on and once I heard the door slam (my room being above the door) there was a meow from outside. Immediately I admit I thought the worst as our little Pelhi was still marching around the house as it's her first week. Looking outside there...

Ah, thank you for the warm welcome! Glad to hear I'm doing something right. And thank you for the article link. I'll be referring back to it a lot I think. Good to know plenty of folks are keen to help too! With any luck most of what I put here will be minor issues.

Thank you very much. I've been doing my best to keep on top of it and it does seem to be going well so far, here's hoping it stays that way.

    Pelhi and Socialising

Hello, TCS users. I recently adopted a solely indoor cat somewhere around a year and three months old and I was concerned for her disposition. At this point I've had her for a little less than a week but my partner does have two other cats at a family house where we are both supposed to be...

    It's a pleasure.

Hello, after some lurking around I decided to sign up having recently adopted a cat that was no longer able to be cared for. I hope I'll have a fair time here and learn plenty! This is Pelhi, born July 2015 and brought into our care this past week. I'm afraid being something of an amateur I...
