I agree with 'yayi' and 'P3 and The King' as well as with you. I don't think boys are more snuggly than girls, I think it all depends on how old they are when you get them. I also think boys are more adventurous. I agree with everything you say as well, though. Louisa

My two boys are neutered, and they are both  very friendly. Ron, upon meeting someone new, decided to jump on their lap, stretch out and sleep. He has done this numerous times and loves the cuddles he usually gets as a result! Barry is slightly more timid, and will let strangers stroke him but...

we used to get quick release ones for my cat but when we needed to loosen my kittens collar (he was growing fast!) it was actually jammed. we pulled a lot but eventually decided to cut the whole collar off. even when it was off my kitty i still couldnt undo it! so now we have elasticated ones...

Thankyou all so so much for your advice. We are popping into the vets tomorrow anyway so I will ask, just to check although I am reassured that it is relatively normal. I thought it was probably something to do with being weaned to young. Better safe than sorry! Thankyou again...Louisa 

I am pretty sure that Barry has noticed that his friend (Neecha) has gone, as in another one of my threads I was wondering if there was any way to get over it and he does have one other companion: a kitten which I got after my hamster died and before Neecha. I have my hopes up for him, though...

Thankyou! But can I just check that sucking on blankets and clothes won't harm the cat? and basically he is doing it because he was weaned to soon? We did get him at only three days under 8 weeks, which I think is what the RSPCA and vets say...Louisa

Oh, no, I virtually NEVER blow in his ears, only once I was falling asleep in my bed and he was doing it and I accidentaly blew in his ears. I didn't do it at all after that because I knew you shouldn't. Thanks anyway...Louisa
