My kitty's back legs are pigeon-toed. Will this lead to future health issues?

Now at 11 months, the legs on my boy are better. So it might have just been a growing issue and that he just needed more time for them to develop. :)

Cost of testing cats for Toxoplasmosis?

I am curious to know how much people paid to have their cats tested for Toxoplasmosis (for those who have obviously have had this done). I know that the cost would most likely depend on one's country/region, but I thought knowing what other people paid in advance, it would give me a general...

Cat pooping outside the box because she doesn't like new litter

I have 3 boxes for 2 cats in a 1-bed apartment so that really should be plenty. I have been experimenting with different litters because I am trying to find one that my boy likes better just in case that is the reason he poops on the floor. But I still keep at least one box that has a litter my...

Cat pooping outside the box because she doesn't like new litter

I shouldn't laugh but my goodness your kitty was determined! (and I have to admit that I did chuckle out loud). She used it at a cat sitter's house because I saw her. But I don't know if there were any accidents. The cat sitter didn't say anything but she is a bit strange. She was also the one...

Cat pooping outside the box because she doesn't like new litter

I have two 10-month old kitties. One poops outside the box ever since I got him (he probably did it at the breeder's too because it did not feel like new behavior). I have been working on that issue but so far, no resolution. BUT this morning his sister who is normally perfect when it comes to...

Stress and constipation. Am I an idiot to put the two together?

I know. :( I had reservations this first time because she lashed out at me a few days before I brought them to her - all because she heard I was going to use someone else to watch them...which wasn't even true. A true professional would probably think, "Maybe I should confirm this, and if it is...

Stress and constipation. Am I an idiot to put the two together?

Yes, this woman is worrisome and she maybe did change their food. I did wonder, but it is impossible to know. I am desperately trying to find another cat sitter for Christmas. I was willing to give her one more chance until I she became aggressive with me the 4th time just yesterday. There is...

Stress and constipation. Am I an idiot to put the two together?

Sorry, forgot to mention that I did not take him to a cat behaviouralist just to take him to a cat behaviouralist. She advertises herself as a cat sitter who is also a certified cat behaviouralist. I went away for 2 weeks. This is why she had them. She was supposed to help him in his behaviour...

Stress and constipation. Am I an idiot to put the two together?

Sorry, I did not mean to use that term casually. My sister is bi-polar and she has become enraged at the drop of a hat in a very similar way as this woman. Her erratic up and down behaviour reminds me of my sister on a bad day. Didn't mean to cause offence.

Stress and constipation. Am I an idiot to put the two together?

I left my 2 kitties at a cat sitter's who is supposedly a cat behaviour psychologist/expert. I thought this would be beneficial for a number of reasons, including encouraging my 10-month old boy kitty to poop inside his litter box rather than on the floor next to it. I question her credentials...

Helping fur to be more silky for less matting?

Thanks. Yes, it is more of the undercoat. :) I do have a comb as well as a furminator (if that is it's name), though I tend to just use a wire brush. I do bathe them about every 4-6 weeks and their fur is LOVELY right afterwards. But about 1.5 weeks later, it loses its sheen. I did try coconut...

Helping fur to be more silky for less matting?

I have two Ragdoll kitties (10 months). They are both healthy and get mostly a homemade raw diet which I supplement with vitamins and supplements such as virgin wild salmon oil. One naturally has very silky fur which has become even more silky with the raw diet. The other one naturally has fur...

Kitty see, kitty do? Pooping on the floor!

I did try a closed litterbox with the door off at the suggestion of the breeder early on, and he tended to avoid it (he is a bit of a scaredy cat). But I can try it again. I took him to see a cat behavioral person who thought it might be the constipation too, but I am not sure how qualified she...

Kitty see, kitty do? Pooping on the floor!

When he is constipated, I give him psyillium and also have 3 litter boxes (for 2 cats) and use an enzyme cleaner. I have done everything the websites say for months, but nothing has changed.

Kitty see, kitty do? Pooping on the floor!

Thanks. I have tried that but they he goes next to the new box placement instead. I even put down foil though he just found the border and went right outside (or even ripped it up). But I can try it again. One never knows.
