Advice for a single Burmese owner.

Thanks for the response. The cat treat toy sounds like an idea i can try, thats one toy he does not have yet lol. Bird feeders might be an idea too, we sell them at work. From what i can tell, when im gone, im pretty sure he sleeps most or alot of that time, since whenever anyone comes down...

    Mikey's Fluoxetine update

no i havent tried that.. Iv been using the Urine off, and after further research on it, turns out iv been using it wrong. I went back and used it correctly and it seems to work well.. Went to an old spot that you could still smell if you put your nose on the carpet, soaked it with hot water...

Anyone used Fluoxetine for their cats before? Iv got a 3  year old Burmese named Mikey.. Hes a great cat but i have had problems with him spraying in the house since i got him. It was bad at first, an everyday thing, but i started doing research, and trying different things for the past couple...

My cat keeps yowling in the middle of the night?

My cat Mikey does this too.. When i go to bed, he starts walking around the downstairs meowing.. Normally i just call to him, and he will jump up in bed and lay down and go to sleep..  I keep a office chair next to my bed with a large pillow on it.. He uses that as his bed, pull it right up...

    Walking around meowing alot.

oh yeah, Mikey is neutered, got it done as soon as he was old enough for it.. I also have the feilaway diffusers in every room downstairs.. I used to let him outside for a couple hours every day, but he kept getting himself into trouble, caught him coming out of a large drainage pipe that goes...

    Walking around meowing alot.

Yeah most of the time i find his "chattyness" to be really cute, and fun.. But of course there are times i wish he would just shut the heck up! lol..  But it is fun to talk to him, sometimes i almost seems like i know what hes saying just by the way he meows.

    Walking around meowing alot.

Does anyone elses cat do this? Ok, little background.. I live downstairs in my parents house. Its basically like my own apartment, and me and my cat Mikey live down there. Basically all the rooms are connected and you can walk a circle around the downstairs.  Well Mikey likes to hang out in...

My cat does not meow, has almost no voice?

yeah my orange and white tabby Joey is like that.. Rarely if ever speaks.. He grunts, and makes little squeaks from time to time, but thats about it.. He can meow, and will on very rare occasions (usually when i offer him treats he will give me a little yelp) On the other hand my black burmese...

    cat adopted kittens :)

Sounds like normal maternal instincts of a momma and poppa cat to me.. She will be very protective of them until they get older and bigger.. Then you will probably see her start trying to keep them from bothering her too much lol..

you could try adding some Feilaway diffusers to your house too too help curb the marking problem.. After you get him fixed it should cut down alot, or hopefully all together. My cat Mikey was a feral for his 1st 6 months of life before i found him and took him in.. He marked up my entire place...
