No steroids or other drugs for Shadow. She's been healthy as an ox since she was a kitten, outside of being allergic to flea bites.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a cat seeing phantoms.... Shadow has been doing it less these days, but still gets in the mood. She also must be aware of how bad it is to get on our dining room table (she's really sweet and well-behaved), though when she is in the mood, she ignores us humans...

Is it covered? I was having issues, until I uncovered one of our litterboxes for one of our cats who kept pooping in a different room.

Could be, though the house is relatively 'modern' in construction, and I haven't seen any evidence of mice in the house since we moved in 18+ years ago (and Georgette, our oldest, moved in)

Thanks for the words, they express my sentiments very well. There are sometimes reasons to get angry, but these days, the bar is set pretty high. I just don't feel like wasting the time or energy to fly off the handle (as I used to when I was younger), and I'd rather spend that time letting...

The "floater" is a good theory, except she darts around sometimes, like she sees it moving around the room. I had a bad case of "floater" after getting treated for ocular melanoma... blood inside my eye (due to a biopsy) that would float in front of my vision when I leaned my head back...

That was funny... I wanted to hear "beep beep beep" when the cat figured out it had to back up to get at the other bottle. ...and yes, that is the tin foil video I was talking about.

He's a very cute cat, and has the air of "I'm so cute, this is a burden" down pat. Once and a while he lets his guard down and rolls onto his back for a tummy rub (giving him the opportunity to grab your hand and lick)

Video unavailable. I saw a pretty funny video the other day - somebody put aluminum foul on the counters, and caught the cat jumping up, only to appear as he was hit by a repulsor ray back off the counter. Probably not a bad investment of dollar store foil.

My 10-year old black shorthair had been gone for some time after they had let him out (days) which was very strange. I was away in boot camp, MCRD San Diego. George and I had been inseparable until I left for the Marines, and my Dad had told me in letters that he was spending longer periods...

I've always had a weakness for black cats, maybe because they've always had a weakness for me. The last cat my wife brought home was black, and she admitted that she knew it would make it harder for me to say "no" Heh.

Yeah, I've heard that from somebody else in the past. All three cats are indoor cats, but ever since a few years ago, when the town stopped spraying pesticide in the fall, fleas have been a big problem. This past fall it got to be a major issue because our cat Shadow is allergic to the bites...
