Another update, not only did my boy go number 2 but it was SOLID! God I have never been so happy to see this cat poop before. Happy momma. Thank you all for your support here, it means so much!
Hey KFlowers
Thats actually not the issue at hand. That was in decemeber and has been fixed and taken care of. He doesnt have access to anything like that at all anymore. My thread is about him having dietary diaherria and such.
Hey Everyone,
Just for an update, I gave him a little canned pumpkin per suggestion from my vet when I called again (cause paranoid mama here) and I haven't seen any runny poop. The downside, I haven't seen poop at all. its been about 24 hours since I saw a number 2 in the box, but hes still...
Hey there
Scooby my cat has lived eith me since he was four months old. Hes technically considered a domestic long hair but the vet is convinced hes part mainecoon.
He went to the vet the first week of decemeber in 2018. It was a check in but also he got into hydrogen peroxide and got a...
Hey Everyone,
So my boy is about 2 1/2 almost 3 years old. Hes been acting completely normal but has had the runs off and on. Last week I had given him some treats and I think they were bad because he got diarrhea and once i realized that was the cause, I stopped giving them to him and he...
Hey Everyone,
Me and my 1 and 1/2 year old boy moved a few days ago, and I am just a wee bit worried! Hes half maine coon and half regular house cat. We moved to a house with my family and hes in my bedroom, which isn't new to him. however, hes been hiding in the window 90% of the time, eating...
Do we know how long that typically takes for the meds to leave the system? He ate a good bit of his dry food yesterday and a good portion of his wet food. Being a little picky with his wet food again this morning.
He also had a bit of diarheea which I know is common with dewormers. I gave hima...
Another day no worms.
He's been hyper, like per usual and also drinking plenty of water.
The only hange I have noticed is a slight decrease in appetites I read that it can happen right after de working because of what's going on to kill said worm. Yesterday he ate the majority of his first...
Right? Its lucky but trust me, this was a worm. It was very visible and obvious to see. And I looked up an image on google to verify and its a dead tapeworm. The type that the fenbendazole kills are the ones that are typically found in dogs and sometimes cats from rodents, bunnys etc not fleas...
Store bought, fenbendazole granulates.
Another update... I found the worm pooped out. Really long thing, at least 6 inches (EW). I defently think its working XD
Awesome! I am going to use that method catwoman707
As for an upadte as well, I came home, and looked at his bedding, etc and butt and there are no segments to be found. Still going to finish out the meds of course but it seems like a good sign. It said to take between 24-48 hours to work, so...
hey Solomonar, I dont live on campus, I live in a private apartment off campus. That being said, where I live, there are a lot of fereal cats sadly, and I work and see thousands of students (especially cause i am a supervisor) and it is very likely something could have passed on to me at work...
Sigh time to invest in flea treatment hes strictly indoor so It was not a concern I had thought of due to that.
Any recomendations on that?
And hes a huge cuddle bug. Always cuddles when I go to bed, and hes such a good cat too!
