Good morning! And Happy Friday!
Let's see: Do you prefer washing dishes by hand or would you rather use a dishwasher?
In our house, the dishwasher rules. If there's no dishwasher, there's very little cooking or baking going on. I hate washing dishes with a passion. There are some things that I'll wash by hand: large roasters; cookie sheets and cake pans, and the like; wooden utensils, really old items that I still use in my baking. But on the whole, if it can't be put in the dishwasher, I don't buy it. Life is too short to spend standing by the sink washing dishes.
Rick and I have a routine. During the week, he'll empty the dishwasher in the morning while I'm hitting the treadmill. On weekends, it's my job. I do it both Saturday and Sunday mornings, plus if I'm baking and do an extra load of dishes, I take care of them.
But when the dishwasher goes on the fritz, all bets are off. I hate washing dishes.
What about you? What's your take on washing dishes?
