Hello everyone!
My cat, Maya ( 3 years old) gave birth today to her FIRST litter... That might explain why they died but I'll tell you the details
She started panting and purring and meowing and coming back to me then going at 7:30 pm. I took her to her box then i sat with her and waited...
By 8:30 she started pushing although i didn't notice her water break
It went on and on till 1 am and nothing! I was getting worried.
By 2 am she finally pushed and the baby started getting out, he was stuck though but i didn't want to interfere, and he wasn't moving either so i assumed he was dead and when he came out, he actually was.
She liked him and cut the string and stuff but well he wasn't breathing
By 4:30 am she delivered her 4 babies but all of them were dead.. I was asleep and my brother took over, maybe they were alive and she couldn't feed them? But my brother said that wasn't the case..
Maya is a healthy cat and she has strong bones and nutrition! It surprised me that they died although she is old (her body is strong) and she has been eating well. So does this have anything to do with that this is her first time? Or just bad luck?
Thank you all in advance
