My favorite books change from day to day. Today I have two favorites that I can't choose between: Beginner's Mind by Shunryū Suzukī and Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson.
I'm retired so am enjoying the incredible luxury of practically unlimited spare time. I hang out on TCS, take a lot of photographs, go on walks, draw, read about politics and play with cats.
No, but I watched a documentary about monkeys in the pet industry recently. It made me cry! Poor little monkeys, they really shouldn't be kept as pets.
Yes. I was 8 or 9, when we lived in Japan. I don't remember much except that I was disappointed we couldn't look at it :lol3:. The whole school went outside to watch. Some of the big kids had those boxes with pinholes. Some of the teenagers brought pieces of black plastic bag to look through, and the teachers kept yelling at them not to do it :tongue2:.
