I keep thinking of the relief she must have felt when they took that bloody worm out of her red nose .lovely zander.

I know @Stewball. I couldn't imagine how she felt. It irritates me to have a stuffed up nose much less having a monster worm in it.

This reminded me of a case that a guy had a cockroach stuck in his EAR CANAL!!! EWWWWW!! 

I think this must be the human equivalent (sort of) of what Zander went through. (oh man... the picture of that guy is now stuck in my head!)

I took some more pictures of Miss Zander last night. She wasn't very happy with me for two reasons:

1. I wouldn't go to bed because she was ready and I wanted to finish watching my TV show.

2. I was taking pictures of her pouting at me.

Thank you so much everyone for all your birthday wishes for my precious girl.

@MServant  I wouldn't change a thing with her. I would do it all over and over again.

She definitely knew yesterday was special. She was running all over the house, bouncing off walls and furniture and sliding on the kitchen floor.

I wasn't able to get her for her birthday yet, I had to work last night and tonight also, but I did get her favorite food and she enjoyed every bite.

I am looking forward to many many more years with the beautiful angel who also saved my life and healed my heart after losing my handsome boy, Ghost. I know he brought her to me because my grief was so great when I lost him I didn't want to love any of my other cats for fear of losing them. So he brought me my precious girl knowing I couldn't pass up saving her. She is such a blessing.

Thanks again!!!!! 

 You all are so special to me. I am thankful to have you all in my life.

Zander update!!!!!!

I know it's been a while since I've been in but life has really gotten in the way for the last few months. We have been going through quite a bit lately. I am hoping things are starting to settle down and I will be able to get back online. I have missed everyone and their precious fur-babies and stories.

Now to my update....

We finally got moved into our new home a couple weeks ago and outside of the mess of getting things unpacked and the house in order, things have been good. I don't remember if I let everyone know that I now have my daughters three cats since she is going to college in a couple weeks. Everyone has been getting along very well which is great. Now for Miss Zander.....

I came home this past Thursday and didn't really think about things because I had worked both jobs all week and I was exhausted. My youngest daughter had been home cleaning up. Thursday night came and went and the cats have been a little stressed since the move so I didn't expect to see them a whole lot. Well..... Friday morning when I got up to go to work and put down food as usual and Zander didn't show up (she is ALWAYS first in line and yelling if she doesn't get to eat first). I called her and looked around but NO Zander. I was beyond upset. I was crawling around on the floor looking, I woke my daughter up and drilled her about leaving the door open the day before (Zander is bad about sneaking out). Trying to come up with all the scenarios about how she could have gotten out. She was no where in the house. My DD promised me she would keep looking because I HAD to go to work that day. I was in tears at this time.

I printed up pictures that day. I had to work my night job too so my day dragged by. I worked, came home and sat outside can called. My daughter was beside herself because I couldn't be consoled. All I could think about was my baby girl was out and God only knows what happened to her. My DD kept saying she would come home. I spent the weekend walking the neighborhood calling and looking, asking the neighbors that was home. Every sound had me running to the windows and door hoping it was her. My oldest DD came over to help me look. I posted it on FB on a local lost and found board. I prayed every night that God would just bring her home safe and sound. I know she's a survivor but I couldn't imagine my home without her in it.

Last night I had made the decision that today I was going to knock on every door and put missing flyers on every door, mailbox, car, pole, EVERYTHING I could put one on. I prayed again when I went to bed last night, not that I slept much. I hadn't slept much since she disappeared. My daughter was up all hours of the night. She woke me up last night...well this morning at 3:45. When I finally cleared my eyes she had my Zander in her arms. I was ecstatic. I grabbed her hugging and kissing all over her. She didn't even seem to mind. I made sure she was fed and watered. I wouldn't let her out of my site, I was scared it was a dream. I finally went back to bed but couldn't sleep. She was right there with me. She would get down but didn't stay away long and she was right back on the bed getting lovings. I was scared to go back to sleep because I didn't want it to be a dream. I did finally doze off when she was curled up beside me. I guess she stayed there until the alarm went off this morning.

My DD said she was getting something to drink and heard a cry. She thought it was one of the other cats. She opened the door to look and Zander was there trying to get inside. Normally I fuss at her because she stays up so late but believe me, if she wasn't up I don't know if my baby would have stayed at the door. I am beyond happy.

She had a collar but no tag. Needless to say, while she was gone, I had my DD go get tags for ALL our cats, including one for Zander (hoping she would be home soon I wanted one for her). Very few people in this area microchip but I am considering it too. Zander is the only one that really wants to get out and that scares me to death. They others are happy to stay inside and look out windows. Now all my babies have collars and tags just in case. Zander will most likely be micro chipped on her next visit to the vet. I didn't want to come to work today so I could stay home and be with her but unfortunately I have to work to buy their food.
