Yes. Give it body warm to kittens. Some find it useful to water down a little, esp if the kitten seems to get constipated, but its not necessary per defintion.I really appreciate all your advice and will follow it. where do you buy goats milk? do you serve it as is
I have not been able to get goats milk yet but I did start watering down his food yesterday and I just went and got some oil and I fed him a new food (pre made formula and oil) then when I went to poop him, he pooped but it was very tiny, but it's something. I don't think the new food has kicked in yet. so how long do you think it takes. When he pooped he was able push it barely out and I had to help in the rest of the way so I know for sure he is constipatedYes. Give it body warm to kittens. That is the beauty of it. There are kitten glops, and the best of them are based on goats milk. GNC kmr is too based on goats milk. Nice and swell no?
The funny thing with it, is the goats milk stand nicely by itself.
The premixed formula may give him diarrhea. If you continue to add a couple drops of oil he should soon have softer poops, but if he gets diarrhea, you may need to switch to powdered formula. Give it a day or two.

Yes, what SArthur wrote above. The glicerine suppositorie- fragment trick is quite potent.I am really concerned. I used the oil four hours ago and it hasn't worked. he is obviously trying but he can't. earlier he was able to poop very little but not what he needed
I postponed the vet visit because this morning he popped a lot but I don't think it was enough so i am going to continue with what I have been doing and if it doesn't keep working by tonight I am going to take him in. How can I ease his pain. Is he still considered constipated if it still hurts to poop?Let us know how it goes at the vet.
Medically not longer constipated, but I would continue to try to ease his difficulties.I postponed the vet visit because this morning he popped a lot but I don't think it was enough so i am going to continue with what I have been doing and if it doesn't keep working by tonight I am going to take him in. Right now he just pooped a whole bunch and I mean tons and he didn't cry much but it was softer than the normal toothpaste consistency, is it just from the oil and premade formula? You guys said that stuff is pretty strong but i am afraid to switch to powder again. Will he eventually get used to it or what should I do?Medically not longer constipated, but I would continue to try to ease his difficulties.
Enema as the last step in the algoritme, when nothing else works.
Lets be happy our remedicas did worked. And better a shade too rare than too hard and half constipated no?Right now he just pooped a whole bunch and I mean tons and he didn't cry much but it was softer than the normal toothpaste consistency, is it just from the oil and premade formula? Exact which worked best, we arent sure about, if you used several parallelly. So make changes just one change at a time.
HAD you began with goats milk? As you arent sure which powder you had from the beginning, and the 21 century gave constipation, dont go back to the 21 century. Or if you must, give parallelly a little more watering than in receipt, and some oil...
But I would really suggest if you find goats milk, try this. Now when you arent stressed nno longer..
I haven't been able to get goats milk yet because I can't convince my sister it's safe. She's worried to try anything that isn't made for kittens especially since he never drank from his mother. Have you personally used goat milk?
You said I can get goats milk at Walmart but do you think there is a healthier version available at a health foods store? I don't know if you have them but such as Lassens, sprouts or trader joesLets be happy our remedicas did worked. And better a shade too rare than too hard and half constipated no?
