I want to get a fitbit so I can see just how much I am walking. I walked to a play group with my kids this morning, to the park this afternoon and downtown after dinner. I'm exhausted tonight but I always sleep good after a busy day.
I want one of these too. Maybe I should put my order in for Mother's Day.I want to get a fitbit so I can see just how much I am walking. I'm old fashioned. I get in the car and retrace my steps to see how far I walk or run :lol3: when my kids were small I'd load them up in the car too. :lol3:I want to get a fitbit so I can see just how much I am walking. I cannot say enough about the Fitbit. I love that thing. I think I mentioned that I have the Charge now and I really like it. But until you get a Fitbit, check out http://www.mapmywalk.com/ . You can create an account and put in some routes. You'll have a great idea of how many miles you're walking.I want to get a fitbit so I can see just how much I am walking. I can't do that here, we have a lot of paths that you can't drive on. Our parks in this area are all connected by paths and you can start at one end and walk right through.I'm old fashioned. Barbara, I started out with a Fitbit Flex and that was fine. If you don't mind a wristband, get that one. You simply wear it on your non-dominant wrist and you can wear your watch with it, if you'd like. The Flex will track your steps, your mileage, your active minutes, and (supposedly) your sleep. If you do wear it to bed, you can set it to awaken you at a certain time; it will vibrate. It is not water-proof, but it is water-resistant. It tracks calories burned. The band comes in Small and Large; I'm using the Large size.I looked at the Fitbit on Wal Mart website. They have several and I really don't know what to look for. Can anyone give me some tips here. They even have one that measures sleep.
I don't know about you guys, but I think I have earned one glass of nice cold sparkling soda. Went for another bike ride and even for run.
Today's totals are:
42635 steps
6140 calories
Today 4 hours and 5 minutes of cycling, that is 90km (~56 miles), average speed for all that was 22km/h (13.7mph), after that 20 minutes running and after that 12 minutes of brisk walking as it got bit dark near midnight and there was rough gravel so I resorted to walking for part of last lap.
I could of kept running longer, felt still strong, but bit too dark.
All it takes is loads of food and lot of determination, you can do it too!
Umm, you know, all that counts as an activity :lol3:I'm getting jealous of all your activity. I still have a cold, I just can't seem to shake it. I went for a gentle 30 minute walk yesterday, but it left me gasping for breath and coughing again.
I've been spending my free time re-organising my wardrobe, packing away my winter clothes, hanging up my summer clothes, repairing, dyeing a few old t-shirts emerald green and Windsor purple, cutting up one old pair of jeans to patch the holes in a slightly newer pair, made a yoga mat bag and a sun-glasses case out of the rest of the old jeans..................
Yep, I'm really bored.
:lol3:
You can't have all those cardboard boxes around and expect the cats to stay away.Oh I just noticed little Webby photo bombed the top pic. I didn't even know she was there.
You need to cycle things, do legs, rest legs and do upper body or something like that.worked out like like a beast Monday but yesterday not so well. Or maybe I need to rest my muscles more than one day. Yesterday I couldn't get past 65 lbs for the row. Where Monday I did 70-80? I forget what it was. but I definitely was not moving as fast. Even the elliptical machine-I just kept heart rate at 120-125. So maybe I need to read up on how to maximize the rest days. But I realy like working out daily-makes me feel less lazy. If I don't workout for one day then I feel like I will give up easier. So maybe this weekend will try walking around the neighborhood..change of scenery.
I did about 45 min of weights on my arms-chest/shoulders/back/arms. I was sore afterwards. and this morning sore but once I took a hot shower it is gone. So tonight is legs. Probably squats/lunges with weights-and try again for another 45 min on the elliptical and 25-30 min of dance on my break. Someday the weight will drop. For now I rather be strong than thin. So my goal is still lifting heavier weights...I am amazed how many weeks it takes to do this.
Keep it up!
