You are too funny!! What a good mom.

Yes this is the right stuff, but honestly, 2 tubes is plenty, especially since there is no sign of infection at this time, so why waste your money right?

I do not think a vet visit is needed honestly.

Kittens eyes usually open between 10 and 14 days on average, however I have had some open their eyes as young as 5 days old, so imagine my surprise!

I do see that this happens more often in larger litters, do not ask me why, if I were to come up with my own theory, it would have to be because the smaller litter kittens are so comfy in utero, that they are in no hurry to do anything, including be born, open eyes, get weaned :)

The other big litters are like move over you're smashing me! Get me outta here already, etc.

Just kidding, but who knows :)

We will see how her eyes look in a few days. Regardless, with the exception of infection type issues, we can't change genetics/development, so let's wait and see if the cloudiness clears or what.

Sorry, I was out too. I agree with catwoman. Just order two tubes for now, and no vet visit necessary right now with no discharge, and wait to see how the eyes look when fully open.

Glad to hear there is no more yellow pee! It must have felt good to get out of the house for a breather!

How are their weights coming along today?

Unfortunately at 11 pm Simba passed away. He fought the good fight but I think he got fading kitten syndrome and just faded so fast. He was buried under a big oak tree and will never be forgotten. My heart is broken but I got to remember I have 8 other very healthy kittens and that little gray has completley turned around. Thank you all for your advice
I've been reading this thread and been right there with you and everyone during your ordeal. I think you are doing a wonderful thing for momma and the babies.

I am so sorry to hear that Simba didn't make it, but one thing you can be thankful about is that he passed away being so loved and cared for and you gave him a strong name to take with him to the Rainbow Bridge. He will always remember how you cared for him.

Hello all! I am sorry for disappearing from the board but this week has been hectic to say the least! It seems the days go by so fast, I cant believe it's already Friday and that my sweet babies are going to be 2 weeks this Sunday! Where has the time flown [emoji]128552[/emoji][emoji]128552[/emoji]
Everyone has been gaining weight perfectly and getting SO BIG! 6 out of the 8 all have their eyes open and the last 2 are right behind! I can tell who my two trouble makers are going to be when they start walking. I'm going to do individual updates tonight on all of them but for right now I'm going to include my favorite pics of the babies I took this week.

When did they start getting so big?!

My escape artist (stink butt). caught him trying to escape, but got him before getting too far! Now the box is completely blocked haha

My big snuggle bug! He always has to be snuggled up to someone while sleeping.

More cuddle bugs!! [emoji]128525[/emoji][emoji]128525[/emoji] everyone is just getting so big. Sorry for the picture overload but I love documenting everything and these kittens are my pride and joy haha. As I said I will do individual updates later tonight! just wanted to do a quick check in!

They look adorable - all of them! Stink butt - really leading the way, huh?

They look healthy, and getting their eyes and ears open. All very textbook developmental milestones.

How's mama kitty holding up? :)

That would be my gray tip nose. That picture was taken Tuesday. He was the smaller one at the beginning of the week and after simba I was so worried about him, but he decided to shock me and go from 5.6 ounces on Monday to 7.0 ounces yesterday and open his pretty little eyes for me Wednesday! Looking back, I cant believe how small he was in that picture.

Mama kitty is doing great! I can defiantly tell she gets tired after feeding them so often so she comes and lays with me on her breaks. She's been eating good and drinking plenty of water. She has even been doing a fantastic job with stimulating! I am so proud of her [emoji]128522[/emoji]

This is all terrific news! I was worried after Simba too. Are you still supplementing anyone?

Luckily at this point I am not! Everyone has been gaining a steadily amount of .4 ounces or higher everyday and no bright yellow pee so I am just letting them feed from mama. I am still doing rotating so everyone gets their fair share, although now that eyes are open, they no longer will stay in the pink basket so I've improvised

I put a cloth covered piece of cardboard in between the two groups so now the kittens who are on break won't be climbing out of the pink basket trying to get to the box!

Ah, good thinking! And continuing to rotate is also necessary still. I am glad that you can get a break. Unfortunately, mama kitty is still working hard though.

I'll look for you to post the weights when you get the time tonight. I'm anxious to compare their beginning weights to today. :)

Okay so I know I promised the updates last night but my boyfriend and I got carried away with what we called our first "kitty shoot" and then putting together pictures and profiles for all the sweet baby kittens! I know it's a lot of information and pictures but for all that has helped me and been with me through this journey I thought I owed you guys a proper and cute update of all the babies!
(Excuse Multi and Popeyes lack of pictures. They were our first two kitties to get their pictures taken and we hadn't gotten the hang of it yet so they have the least amount of pictures)

*Multi*
3.4 ounces 1 day old
7.2 ounces at 12 days old!

Multi is one of my louder kittens. she always whines the loudest when mama gets into the box to feed her group and she will not stop whining until she finds her nipple! SHe is also the only one in her litter, besides her late brother Simba, to already start purring! She only does it when she's feeding, but I can usually hear her little purr when I get close and man its adorable. She is also my first kitten to have one of her eyes open (it took 1 more day until her other eye opened so he looked like a pirate for a little bit ARG! Lol).

*Stinker Butt*
3.6 ounces 1 day old
8.6 ounces at 12 days old!

Oh my Stinker Butt! He is defiantly going to be the one to have my hands full! He is my explorer, always trying to escape the box, (he attempted an escape back on Wednesday when his eyes finally opened and he could see where he was going) so now I have the box all secured! He is always trying to get his siblings to go with him and whenever I hear little scratches on the box I know it's him. He is my bigger white one and the first of my white kittens to open his eyes! He loves to give me attitude and he is going to have a full personality!

*Gray Nose (Popeye)*
3.1 ounces 1 day old
7.0 ounces 12 days old!

This little guy is one of the last two to have both his eyes open, but his left eye has started to open so we have nicknamed him Popeye! (picture on the right shows his eyes) He isn't as loud as his other siblings but he is just as cute! I can't tell his personality yet, but he was one of my runts so I'm so happy seeing him get big!

*Dark Face*
3.5 ounces 1 day old
7.9 ounces 12 days old!

Sweet little Dark Face! He was my first kitten to have BOTH eyes open, and gosh he is adorable. He is very attached to his mama and siblings and will cry like a banshee when I take him out of the box to weigh him! I haven't really been able to find out his personality yet. He has defiantly grown since day 1 and his head, legs, and tail are a good black color while his body is a medium gray. I think his coloring is beautiful and defiantly unusual!
I love his top left picture because it looks like he's yelling to mama kitty with his mouth open [emoji]128523[/emoji]

*Little Gray!*
2.7 ounces 1 day old
6.9 ounces 12 days old!

My Little Gray! Ohmygosh has SHE grown. Yes, I have found out that little gray is in fact a girl! [emoji]127872[/emoji] She has gotten so big and adorable, I am in just such a happy place because of her. She is my last kitten to have her eyes open, but they are coming, at the latest Sunday! Her personality hasn't really shown through yet, she was my smallest runt of the litter so she is just a tad behind everyone, but she is thriving! It's also crazy, but I guess because she was so little when born she didn't have all her fur and she has grown(?) Beautiful markings under her tummy and back legs (bottom right picture) she has also now the same marking on her face as her Tiger siblings so she is no longer just grey! She is becoming quite the fluff ball, with such pretty fur. Little gray is my little miracle [emoji]128522[/emoji]
