Love itThere was a saying that I always think of when people think we are too involved with our animals..... CATS ARE NOT OUR WHOLE LIVES, THEY MAKE OUR LIVES WHOLE. :rub:

indeed they do.
My cats are members of our family and we do consider ourselves to be the 'parents'. They love us unconditionally and give us companionship and joy. We know they are not human, but we love them with as much intensity as if they were. There was a saying that I always think of when people think we are too involved with our animals..... YUP! Same here, & I'll be 46 in August.I do not have any human children, and it is unlikely that I ever will, given that I am nearing 40 and have zero prospects at a relationship. However, I do think of my two kitties as my children and treat them as such. I often talk about them a bit too much. My family thinks that I am weird. I feel that my cats are my children though because I legally adopted them and have the adoption certificates to prove it! Are there any other (human) childless weirdos out there that feel the same way as me?
Mine too. Besides the card & gifts I got my mom for Mother's day, I saw one that said Happy mothers day grandma, & it had a little orange tabby on it, so I just HAD to get it & make it from Angel. LOL!
Of course they're my kids! They might not have come from my womb, but I consider them as my children. My parents are slowly accepting them as their "Grandkits" lol
CuteHere's what my sister got me " from Angel. "
I have 2 bottle babies, brother and sister. They are so attached to me even so now that they are 7. They sleep with me every night. Her on my pillow and him in between my legs.I have mine, I have three in particular that I've raised from newborns, they, they are my babies, especially my Friskies, he is a real momma's boy and proud of it. He likes to purr, he sleeps at night on my pillow. With them, I am the only mother they've known. He does talk to me, in the morning a happy me'owr, bedtime he sighs, and snores. :lol3: My youngest, Mouse, she's a bit of a jumpy cat, she loves running and playing, she likes to cuddle and purr. Miss Kitty sister of Friskies, likes to come around when she wants to, and cuddle when it get cold. They are cats and I know this but I think we all are more similar than different.
When you come from basically a family of narcissists, mainly my mother whom sadly im still stuck living at home with. they only care bout their own self absorbed bubble crap... my babies may get up to mischief but they are loving and are always there to greet me with affection esp if im having a bad day or come for cuddles just cos they know its always given back... i definately prefer them over ppl here lol .. i couldnt live without them.. they are my life really. They dont whine or complain and are the purrfect companions to me!Same. You are a kindred spirit. Obviously I've been reading too much Anne of Green Gables...
cats are just so awesome because as long as you don't completely ignore them, which is pretty much imposible, they love you. They dont whine or complain and are the purrfect companions to me!:heart4:
