It can upset their stomach. I would do a little more each day. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4.
With some cats, you have to go slow switching between canned foods, too. Some of my cats could eat anything I give them, but others need a very gradual change, or they'll get upset stomachs and vomit up after eating.
If you switch between canned foods it's not really a problem. Switching between dry foods requires a slow switchover like gwlaw99 suggested.
Not sure what you are looking at when you say "it" says 49 protein, but according to the Felinecrf.org website, the protein is around 43 on a dry matter basis, and the phosphorus is 1.28 calculated the same way. If you're looking at the can, that's Guaranteed Analysis, which is different.Ok so i have another question. In wet cat food when it says 49 protein is in it is it really 49% protein?
My paige is on the. K/d dry but the wet is too expensive she loves merrick turducken it says low phorphus but high protein should i not give it?
