A British short/long hair is a pedigree. I would never dream of buying a pedigree cat when others need good homes quickly. I only have whisky who was definitely abandoned. But now he's safe. Good food. Lovely furniture to sit on. Gets fed when he asks me even though his plate may not be empty. They slept so hard on my lap this evening all stretched out. Not a worry on their life.

Hmm, I had no idea these were a pedigree. All of ours are foundlings. They all found me :) -hence the title of the thread.

The black and white one doesn't look like a British Shorthair, in my opinion. BSH usually have rounder faces, shorter ears, and stockier bodies.

I completely agree, The way that you write it's almost as if I can picture how beautifully it flows in my head. I envy you.

You certainly described the British short hair or the British blue. No. My little blighty is a plain old gorgeous, lovely, sweet, beautiful, so clean tks to whisky moggy and Iove moggies. And I love whisky too of course.

@kathleenf.
You described moggies. I don't actually like the British. I don't like their round faces. Of course the Russian blue is another kettle of fish.

I hope this picture is here.
Has anyone ever seen something like this? This is my male siamese letting my male baby moggy suckle from him. The baby behaves as if whisky is his mum when he suckles. His paws knead. He purrs like mad and you can hear him suckling. It's amazing.

@kathleenF. Hi Kathleen. How are you and all the lovely kitties. Where do you live in America?

Moggie... that's a new one for me. If British Shorthairs have round faces and chunky bodies, that's definitely not the The Farm Cat. His face is so pointed that we called him "funnel face" until a stray comment from the previous owner inspired his now name. He's a very large cat (underweight at 12 lbs), long limbed and strong. Our old lady Mommy Cat may be a BSH. She's a pocket sized 6+lb roundly shaped cat.

That Siamese of yours... pretty funny!
