Today's topic.. Motivation. Which is what I am needing!

I've motivated myself to go back to the gym and lose the 30 lbs I've gained in the past year (due to my unknown illness at the time!). There's no reason for me to continue gaining, I want to lose!

I've signed up on several weight loss and fitness websites and makign sure I go on daily for motivation.. and so far, it's working. I am eager to get out of work to hit the gym!

What are you really motivated about? Want to be motivated on? What do you do to keep on track with motivation?

I think looking at my summer clothes is motivation enough for me. :lol3: I am once again, after a five month break, exercising everyday. We were so busy with our move and getting settled here that I didn't make the time to workout. I am feeling much better as well because of it. SO I think summer clothes and feeling mentally better after exercise is motivation enough to get started. GOOD LUCK with your new workout plan!! It is always good for not only our bodies but our minds!! :)

My motivation level kind of depends on how the day's going. Basically I just do what I have to / supposed to do without thinking too much about it. I DO look forward to the work and tasks being done so I can relax, so that's probably my motivation!

I agree.  It is nice to be done with all the things early on in day and know I can just enjoy the cats/dogs as opposed to waiting and then I am doing chores late at night when I want to just be online or watching tv.  When I worked I always did all the stuff in first few hours so rest of night was just register or facing/stocking that the day shift would normally do from inventory in the back

Wishing you the best of luck with your workouts at the gym! If you want, you can post here about your sessions. That might give you a bit of added motivation, knowing that you have to tell us how you're doing.

If I have a full day of tasks to do around the house, I will get out of bed very early in the morning and get started on my day. If I wait or get up later, my day feels shot and I've lost any incentive. Sounds crazy, but it's the way it is for me. I like the way the house looks and smells when it's fresh and clean and the windows are open. It just feels different.....that's my motivation, I guess.

As for my walking, well, right now I'm walking 5 miles a day....I'd really like to walk 150 miles this month; I haven't done that in years. I can't miss a day because the I'll have to make those miles up at some other point and I can't make 5 miles up.....it's too difficult for me. That's enough to get me downstairs on the treadmill in the morning and get me outside at lunch time. Because if I miss a day, I'm done.

My motivation is to lose weight and feel better! I'm going to start walking again, but first I want to get this house cleaned up. I'm trying to do a project each day. I couldn't hardly do anything due to school. I'm getting some exercise while cleaning...in any case I'm pouring with sweat after cleaning!

Another motivation is to get it all cleaned up before my externship starts on June 3rd.

I think a workout motivation thread is a great idea!

Just working around the house you can work off the weight and walking. I now way 216 from 220 within 1 month

:yeah: I agree with this so much. If I get an early start on my day, I feel so much better and motivated. IF I lay in bed a bit too long then I feel sluggish and unmotivated. Sort of sticks with me throughout the day because then I am rushing around to get things done before I need to start dinner. It ends up being a crazy day.

I think at one time we had a thread in the CL about our daily exercising and getting each other motivated. It always helps to hear about others successes and failures because we all have both on some days.

Motivation is low with me right now, I'm trying to eat better and exercise to lose weight, but I haven't been eating that well the past few weeks. I'm trying to turn that around right now.
