Quite a few of us are trying to exercise more to get/ stay healthier. Here's a thread to post what we are doing to keep us motivated and support each other.
WE CAN DO IT!!!!!
WE CAN DO IT!!!!!
Good for you for quitting!I would love to have a treadmill or bike!
I haven't done anything since Thursday. Friday was day 1 for quitting smoking and I'm still feeling the effects of it. I want to at least get that obnoxious stack of papers from school out of the house, but I'm so groggy that all I can do is hold this recliner down.
I would too that way it would make me excerise while watching TV,.something I would do.I would love to have a treadmill or bike!

Thanks! I'm still groggy and craving, but I'm hanging in there!Good for you for quitting!
Great idea!...
I've done something to my leg.. maybe a pinched nerve?.. and it's preventing me from walking which is a real pain! And yet I can do a few rounds of Salute to the Sun! So my current exercise has to involve no pressure on my right foot
Keep on hanging in there! I've never smoked, I have asthma, but I know how difficult it is to quit. I know some of our members have had luck with the e-cigarettes.Thanks! I'm still groggy and craving, but I'm hanging in there!Good for you for quitting!
Got an oil treatment on my hair now, took out one big bag of garbage and about to tackle those papers I was whining about. Moving about the house is about the best I can do right now.
Maybe you could swim?Great idea!...

When i went to my back therapy they gave me 3 bands which I use everyday. They are great.I wish I could use nicotine replacement! Unfortunately I cannot since I have to pass a drug test for it in about a week and a half.
Swimming is a great exercise, depending on your resources! Also check out exercise bands. You can do some leg exercises without bearing weight on the bad foot.
WOW!!! I also was a smoker for many, many, many years but no where that much a day. More like 1/2 pack. Funny what we learn about each other. Glad you quit. I still sneak one now and again, but rarely. Times of stress are the hardest for me. I just tell myself........... "I don't smoke anymore" over and over when I have that desire. Larry too. We both quit.I smoked 1-1/2 to 2 packs a day for almost 20 years before I managed to quit. Keep trying; don't give up!
