Oh Lauren! :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: I can only imagine that drive!

I'm so glad things have (mostly) settled down now. :rub:

...but life just wouldn't be right if after all of that, the :princess: wasn't touting that tiara! :flail:

And no. No moving. Ever again! :nono:

Hopefully you're LOVING your new home - and other than the princess - are on :9:

OMG, as usual, you have me in stitches here
.  It sounds as if it was extremely stressful, but you have obviously recovered your sense of humor, so all is well
.

Perla will come around when she is ready (or when you finally get tired of being her personal slave (yea, like THAT's ever going to happen...we've got the same little prince over here...Tinky is worse than Callie when it comes to having me wrapped around their paw
)

Glad to see you're back posting !

YES! We just LOVE the new house and so do the cats. The large windows and the bird watching go on all day long here. Very happy kitties for sure!!:clap::clap::clap:

:princess: Perla was a hungry girl this morning!! Very hungry for some reason. So I took advantage of that. She ate FINALLY some RC Lamb doused in Fortiflora. Almost a whole ounce before she realized what it really was. She did her usual...... and :dash:. Racing out of the laundry room and taking the corner at full speed ahead all puffed up. It was hilarious to see. She does keep me laughing and yep, Sally, keeps my sense of humor in check. What a joy Perla is, for sure. :lol3: And, never the same on any given day. :whitecat:

WELL, I got my FINAL ANSWER this morning as to whether Pipsqueak will ever be able to eat red meat, particularly beef. He finished up his usual Rad Cat breakfast, turkey. Then I noticed that Walden left some of his Stella/Chewey's Beef/Salmon meat in his bowl, which was surprising. Anyway, Pipsqueak went over to his bowl and finished up the last 1/2 ounce. I was SO shocked. and I thought WOW, PIP, you are broadening your horizons FINALLY after one year.:clap::clap: I was happy to see that. :not: :not: :not: About ten minutes later. :barf:  :barf: :frown2: In came Pipsqueak to the laundry where I was cleaning up and went into the litter box and violently vomited. :barf: What a good boy too choosing the litter box because it was a big sloppy mess and wanted to make it easy for momma to clean up. He is such a :soldier: I closed the laundry room door. Stayed in there with him for about 15 minutes where he vomited about 5 - 6 more times to make sure everything was up, I guess. Finally just foam. Then, he jumps up onto the counter by his spot, meowing for more food. :thud: :thud: I made him wait for an hour and served him some more Rad Cat and he was fine.

Guess beef is still BAD for the Pipster. Poor Pip. :alright: All better now and no more beef for him even if he wants it.

Mazy has the same reaction with red meat. Both beef (homemade) and lamb (Rad Cat). I won't try again with her.

I've added Stella&Chewy's duck&goose to her rotation but only one or two meals a week, because I worry about the bone in it and mixing my hard well water into it raising her urine pH. I'm still trying to find fresh or frozen duck locally that has not been doctored up. (so far what fresh or frozen duck I have found has all been 'enhanced'). She loves the S&C duck/goose and keeps it down.

Well, good thing no one in my household has that reaction, because currently they are ALL eating beef, and only beef!  Can you believe it?  I still don't know what is wrong with my little beasties, but they are just plain weird.  However, the good news is that they are now eating Hare-Today beef versus Primal, so now that I have finally gotten them to switch, I am once more going to try to incorporate different Hare-Today proteins into their diet.

But, I digress!  What a good little soldier Pip was, upchucking right into his litter box.  You have him trained very well, Lauren
.  But I notice no update on Perla.  What's the little princess up to these days???

Ootay  used to always puke in her litter box, too. I wish Mazy cat would. Mazy seems determined to see how far she can spread the joy by running downstairs as she proceeds, hitting as many steps as possible.

OH I wish I could get Pip to eat some other form of chicken and turkey other than Rad Cat, Nature's Variety (organic), and Nature's Menu. That is ALL he eats. Those three brands in either chicken or turkey. I have tried and tried other brands with no luck. He almost ate some S&C FD chicken once, yep, just once. Then he realized it was a bit off so he took off. :dash: I am just happy that he eats some raw and with such GUSTO. OH he also loved Fegnion Rabbit. Carolina sent me some last year and he loved that. Go Figure. The problem: very, very, very expensive to purchase and ship. :thud: I just figured there is no reason to spend that much money if I am not going to feed it regularly to him. I should look into Fegnion once again, though. Who knows :dk: could the price have come down. Yeah, right..... :lol3:

I know. I couldn't believe my eyes/ears this morning when I see out of the corner of my eye a white dash to the box. I turn to see it was Pipsqueak and out comes this HUGE soupy mess. He even tried to cover it, bless his little heart. :flail: But then, he had another bout coming on. The rest he did on the laundry room floor so easy clean up. My cats never, ever vomit anymore unless they are hungry and it is that yellow bile. Of course, the carpets in the new house are white too. :frown2: I never realized before feeding raw and a good quality canned that cats really should not vomit. And if they do vomit, regularly, something is very, very wrong. I always feel guilty thinking of my other cats that I have had in my life. Oh how they suffered :sigh: and I never got any good answers as to the why other than "Well, can't find anything wrong, cat's just vomit and it is always hairballs" from the vets. And, my cats vomited a LOT, especially my :rbheart: Jafar. Most times off of their cat furniture, hurling it down the side, or straight out. I also had a cat that would run and puke at the same time. In fact, I think Perla has done that before. I am just glad to know what I know now about feline nutrition. Hope my good luck continues with healthy, happy kitties. :cross: :cross:

I think Pip has ME trained well but he just has naturally good/clean habits. :lol2:

And, Sally, remember!!! :flail: Our cats are always the opposite of what they all like and readily eat. :D WHERE'S THE BEEF!!!!! I should find that crazy beef lady for you again.

OH and :princess: Perla. That's another story. She is in her own little world, out there on another planet, in another universe. :uuh: I also just found that my little princess has READY FOR IT..... WAIT FOR IT....... :paranoid: :para2: I have to make sure she doesn't see my typing this and telling you all. BUT..... WAIT FOR IT ...... Perla has stud tail. :flail:  :paranoid: :nervous: YEP. How degrading for her too. We ( me and my new vet :D) are certain it is due to a couple of problems which really comes down to one. And that points to her "diet" :anon: and her immune system which scares me. She has been absolutely infuriating to me. :wife: She will forever be my cross to bear in regards to a raw diet. :sigh: And now that her eye has flared up and she has :anon: :sulk: "stud tail" she is even more humiliated because I had to shave the top of her whole tail almost to the tip. It was not bothering her and the only reason I found it was because I gave her a clipping for the summer and noticed a darker pigment near the base of her tail. She has had this for quite sometime and if not for her major grooming, I would have never known. No one else has this problem and she is the ONLY GIRL!!! :lol2: Spayed females can get this problem not just unaltered stud cats.

I am treating it with Vetericyn VF and Mupirocin ointment. She is so upset over this and her daily treatments that I don't have the heart to force the raw issue with her. It is not an easy time for my little, sweet, beautiful, darling :princess: Perla, but :thanks: for asking, Auntie Sally :rub: :D

OK, you lost me at "clipping for the summer". Ummmm, I hate to tell you this, but it's February!  Or have you been keeping this little secret for several months?????????????????????????????  And if that's the case and it hasn't gone away yet, isn't that really odd?  I didn't think it lasted that long if it was treated.  And I thought it could actually usually be treated with "home remedies".

Poor Perla.  No wonder she's in her own little universe.
I don't blame you for pampering her right now, especially if she doesn't really seem to  like raw.

for your little darling

:flail:  I KNOW it's February. And I was hoping you would not call me to the table on that one. I was really hoping you would just bypass that and go on to the... WAIT FOR IT..... STUD TAIL! :lol2: But I did an early grooming on ALL cats. :anon: They all had their first "summer" cuts. :anon: It is the groomer in me that reared it's ugly head. :flail: They all look SO cute. Don't worry I used long blade. I even clipped Henry and gave him his usual mohawk down his back. Wilbur is immune to my insanity because he doesn't shed anymore due to his health. OK... before you ask, I will get pictures. AND before you ask, YEP, I am totally nuts.

Honestly, Sally, I have not been keeping this from you. :lol3: Some things I might keep out of the forum, :D :bigwink: BUT... I only found this on the :princess: because of the "clipping". There are home remedies but they never worked on the chin acne so I figured they would not work on UMM, her, Uhh, oh dear, stud tail. Yeah, Perla can use all the sympathy you can muster about now. OMG you would die if you saw her.

I can tell you all, that they are not as fat as I thought. Good Lord, they are all muscle. But, they do all have that swinging upside down mountain between their back legs. HEE HEE HEE HEE.

Another Perla surprise!!! What mind games she bestows on momma. :lol3:

This morning was a bad morning for my Wilbur :heart3: After offering a few foods by hand (as usual) and him refusing, I tried S&C FD Turkey. I had a single serving bag and soaked it with water. Got out the Halo FD chicken and sat on the kitchen floor with Wilbur. I placed a small pile of FD turkey sprinkled with Halo. He just looked at it and as I was trying to entice him by putting it by his nose the :princess: I was sitting crossed legged, as usual, with Wilbur sitting opposite me and the plate between us. Well, confidently up walks Perla on a mission and heads directly to the plate and started chowing down. :shocker: I didn't move nor did Wilbur, much to his surprise at this thief. Perla CLEANED and LICKED the plate clean and then walked away leaving me and Wilbur stunned, looking at each other. :lol2: I have not tried the FD with Perla because she had been refusing. Might it be that the Halo did the trick? I will attempt to try the Halo topper with her in the morning, but I assure you all.... She is playing games with me. :wife: :nono: That cute, adorable, little snot. :lol3:

HMMMM - So I had to tell Perla that no one commented on her little momma mind game she has been playing with me!! :lol2: Well, since that day, Perla has been coming in the kitchen when I feed Wilbur looking for that yummy Halo tainted S&C FD turkey which I have all set for her. She LOVES this new plan (but how long will this last :dk: Not long, I am sure.) AND........ Stella and Chewey's just came out with a FD Rabbit dog patties. I tried to add in the rabbit with the turkey topped with Halo. Perla has cleaned her plate each morning when I am sitting on the floor trying to get Wilbur to eat. IF I try to feed her the exact same thing in the laundry room on her spot - FORGET IT - she takes off. For the life of me, I cannot figure out my little, adorable, priceless, adorable :princess: Perla. :lol3:

p.s. Her tail "acne" :paranoid: is clearing up!!:clap::clap: I told her I did not tell any of you about that......... :nono:

I love the Perla stories! Your descriptions are so vivid I can picture them so clearly. Your Perla sounds a lot like my princess Aria. Lately, she's only been eating half of her food in her usual feeding spot, but if I take her the rest of it to wherever she is (usually in the sun or if no sun, her bed by the heater), she'll eat the rest of it. Yes, I've resorted to bringing her meals in bed. LOL

I can't believe I forgot to reply to your Perla story!  How UNLIKE me, huh
?  Something must have distracted me!  Anyway, I think it's great that you've discovered a new way to get her to eat...whatever it is...just wish it would work with Wilbur, as it seems he is not doing well, and I'm so sorry to hear about that
.  Are you feeding him more green tripe?  Didn't that really help him last time?

Oh,and thanks for letting us know about the new S & C's FD rabbit.  I might have to give that a try.  What the heck

And, got it...mum's the word on the "tail" acne
, but glad to hear it's clearing up

OH MY!! These little princesses certainly have us trained!!! :lol3: Yeah - Perla pretty much knows the drill after a year of her games. OR should I say, I KNOW THE DRILL. She has taught me well and the funny thing is that I didn't even know I was being taught anything until it was too late. :flail:

Hi Sally! :hugs: Thank you for your thoughts about Wilbur. Yeah, we are on a down swing again but hoping he will pull through as he seems to do. Whenever I think..... this is it.... he rally's on. So far he has not made it clear to us that it is time. So very hard to really know if he is suffering. But, I honestly know in my heart of hearts when the time is come, I will know. He is that special and we really are one in the same. I know I will feel it. But, still I wonder.

I am tellin' ya, the S&C FD rabbit was a really great surprise!!! I hope it keeps Perla's interest. :cross: :lol3: You might as well give it a try too. :D  Although, Pipsqueak refuses. I am just happy that Pip is doing so well on the Rad Cat Chicken and Turkey, Natures Menu Chicken and Turkey and Natures Variety Organic Chicken. Yep - he is turning into poultry by now.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Well, Wilbur has pulled through after all, yet again!!!!!!!!!!!:clap::clap::clap: He is on an upswing this time. I honestly think the 4Life Transfer Factor classic is helping as well. Larry jokes that he will outlive us. :lol3: Day by day we muddle through.

OK, on to the cats. PERLA!!!!!!!!! My little princess is a S&C rabbit lover.:clap::clap::clap: Well, on some days, that is. She is readily eating her Rad Cat Lamb, S&C Rabbit and Duck, AND we recently added in Bravo Balance Chicken which she will only eat mixed with Core Kitten canned. That's right. I have had to go through different grain free canned foods to find a few that she will go crazy for. She has given up on Fancy Feast.:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: Can you believe it!!!! She turns her head away. So, I have been able to move on to better canned choices for her to mix with the raw. Will Perla ever be 100% raw? Probably not. I find it hard to believe that after 18 months we are still working on getting there. I think she loves the attention she gets from me though and I do have to say that transitioning to raw has really brought her out of her shell and closer to me. THAT to me is almost more of an accomplishment than her eating 100% raw.:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: Everything with Perla takes time................................ a........................very..............................long...............................time............................................ ;)

Everyone else is doing fabulous. They all look so solid and their body condition is beautiful. I honestly can say that I have never had such healthy, happy, solid looking cats in all my life. Here is the newest shocker. Pipsqueak has finally allowed the addition of S&C FD chicken, duck and rabbit to his raw rotation. Just recently when I was soaking Perla's S&C, I turned away for a second leaving the bowl unattended. When I turned back around, Pipsqueak was going to town on the chicken S&C FD. I couldn't believe my eyes. I have offered that particular product for him on and off for 18 months with no luck. NOW, all of the sudden he loves the stuff. ANOTHER ONE who is ........................so..............................slow. Cat's sure know how to take their sweet ole' time. Pip and Perla, two peas in a pod.

I will post some photos soon plus need to update weights. I am almost afraid to do that. They all seem a bit pudgy to me. We will see. :D

My guys would have nothing to do with S&C the first few times I offered it.  I put some out one day when I had forgotten to thaw in time...and they scarfed it.  They like the chicken, and the turkey.....but only one would would eat the duck/goose variety.  This month, they don't like ground raw chicken mix, but they do like strips of chicken.  Last month, it was the exact opposite.  I swear they do it just to torture me....lol.  Fortunately the dogs will eat anything they reject...
