What fantastic news! What a difference since the beginning of the weekend. Please let us know if he ends up going home today or not.

Oh, I am so relieved! I have been refreshing this thread all day long looking for news! I hope he comes home today.... I do think there is nothing like our love and tender care, plus, he is going to be in his environment and not stressed, making it easier on him to heal....
Does your girlfriend stays home when you are not in? :vibes::vibes:
Oh, in case he still needs to stay there, don't forget to take a t-shirt of you guys (an used one) to leave there with him.... A familiar scent helps a lot in calming his nerves :heart3:

Went and saw him and he looked like a complete 180 from yesterday.  Almost totally normal.  So we have got him home but I think he used up all his energy when we saw him because he's sleeping right now... looks like the worst is definitely behind us at this point.

I'll keep you updated

And WHAT a gorgeous boy he is - and from those pictures you can see he has SO much character! :lol3: You WILL have "that" boy back! He's been through a lot of stress and trauma, and sleep is what he needs right now! I'm sure you'll see to his nourishment. :hugs: But home and love will do the rest. :rub:

Keeping up the vibes for him! :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes:

Awwwwww................................... I'm just all smiles right now! :D :D :D

I might give the vet a call though just to be sure.  When we got him home, he explored a little bit but then just passed out.  Like, I've never seen a cat sleep this deep.  He's dreaming and stuff and I can wake him up, but he goes right back to sleep almost instantly.  He was very active in the waiting room at the vet for about an hour, so I'm wondering if he just used all his energy there.

I would think he's majorly exhausted but if it helps you to be at ease, I'd call. Don't forget everything he's been through and today is his first day feeling better in a week!

Just finished the first tube feeding, pretty easy.  I'm concerned that he is still so lethargic though.  He looks like he did before we brought him to the vet.  Wherever I put him, he just lays down and stays. Then he is asleep within a minute or less.  In fact, even when I stand him up he looks like he's sleeping.  I don't like it.  He did get up to use the litter box so thats good.

Hun, he has been through a lot.... He is beat up.... It will be a while before he comes back to normal.... He is sick.... and he just went through a major, major surgery.... If any of us went through what he did, had a feeding tube on our necks, and pancreatitis on the top of it, we wouldn't be feeling very sexy either.....
I think it's important for you to see the symptoms of him now - is he eating and keeping the food in? Great. Using the box? Great. Not crying in pain? Great..... Then you need to give him time to heal.... It is going to take time...... If you are concerned, call the vet.... But he needs lots of rest - he should not be running around for a long while. Even for dental surgery for example, when it's major dental extractions, 10 days without jumping - I can't imagine an exploratory surgery like what he went through.
The vet is an e-vet, right? So call them.... I think you are going to feel better..... But I really do think, if he is eating fine, using the box, and just relaxing..... I really do think he is going to be alright.... It is going to be a long road for recovery.....

You're probably right... I'll just keep a close eye on him.  We have a follow up on Wednesday anyways

He got up a while ago and came in to head butt me, use the bathroom, and ate a single treat from my hand.  Then he went and crashed again.  He seems to be doing better, just exhausted

I did call the vet, they said it's to be expected but he should be better tomorrow

just now read through this thread and wow! what an ordeal you have all been through. I'm glad to hear your little guy is doing better, he's been through so  much and I guess animals, like people heal better when they are sleeping, so it's good that he's sleeping like he is. Sending lots of good health vibes his way.
