I may as well post the recipe--it's the only way to explain it!
The Redhead's Pasta (serves 1)
Fresh fettucine
Olive oil
1 clove minced fresh garlic
Black olives (whole ones, sliced--I swear the cut, canned ones taste metallic, though the whole ones don't!)
Bacon bits (or cooked bacon, crumbled)
Fresh, grated Parmesan cheese (even the dry, shaker stuff is good)
Cook the pasta; drain. Put in bowl. Toss with the rest of the ingredients. Garlic bread is a must with this meal!
I often add one or or a combination of the following: roasted red peppers, green peas (cooked, frozen ones only), diced fresh tomatoes.
I love this dish, and it's so easy to throw together--and you;ve most of the ingredients lying around. Even boxed pasta is very good.
