And a nice one, when your alarm clock is the sound of chirps and purrs

You know you have a cat when your favorite furniture is always occupied by furry butts.

Or when small objects go missing only to be found in the middle of the living room floor two weeks later.

you know you have cat(s) when it takes you about the same amount of time to pick up all the cat toys and scratching pads as it does to actually vacuum

Java did that just this week - luckily, it was a single-serving bag!

you sit down to watch a 1/2 hour of tv, but end up falling asleep on the couch for hours so you don't disturb the sweet little babies when they're sleeping so innocently on your lap.

You know you have a cat/kitten when you no longer have need of an alarm clock -- you can expect to be woken up at 4:30am, regardless of the fact that A) you don't have to be at work until 8am; B) you have a perfectly functional alarm clock; and C) it's Saturday, thank you very much.

you know you have a cat/kitten when you wake up and your cat sees you and you hide under the covers to go back to sleep and he is right there with you smashing his body into your head and putting his mouth up your nose and keeps on bugging you until you get up and feed him.

You know you have a cat/kitten when you're awoken at 4 am by a loud crash and rather than assuming your house is being broken into you just yell out your cat's name and go in search of what has been destroyed...
