Hi everyone!
Meet Jack, our new kitten! Below is a picture of him on Friday, when we got him.
He was approximately 9 weeks when we got him, and is probably 10 weeks old today. He's a grey and black tabby and has spots all over too! He's a little sweetheart and is so incredibly sweet and loving. My 5 yr old actually cried happy tears when I brought Jack home...or as he said "I'm happy crying", LOL
Jack isn't our first kitty, we've mostly had Siamese. It had been a couple of years since we had a cat, and the kids (I have 4 boys), who are all very fond of cats, had been bugging hubby & I for a cat for the longest time.
It took about a week or so of emails and phone calls to finally arrange a time to pick-up Jack, and even when I left the house to go get him, I wasn't 100% sure the woman was serious about letting him go (just some quirkiness on her end), so I told the kids not to be too disappointed if I came back empty handed. But, when I did return home with our new kitten, you should have seen the look on their faces! They were so very happy. Priceless!
Hubby named him "Jack" and he is so loved and adored here. His personality is very cute and he's super great with the kids too. He loves being petted, carried, snuggled and cuddled! Last night, as I watched TV, he slept with his head on my arm and when he woke up, he looked at me and gently pawed my face with both of his front paws. He's such a sweet kitten!
It's interesting, I've had cats before, but Jack has stolen my heart in a completely different way. We all love him so much and, even though we've only had him a short while, I couldn't imagine life without him!
Sorry for such a long post! I look forward to getting to know everyone
