Abi really goes into her carrier and comes out quite easily and quickly. But yesterday when we got to the vet there was NO WAY she was coming out of her carrier. not for a treat or a dangle toy or anything. Two us eventually had to turn it vertically and let gravity and gentle tugging get her out. I think she remembered the smells and the other animals and the pain. She was even drooling...poor baby.
But she finally let the vet examine her and she was cleared for her long car trip. BTW: the vet said a child's dose of benadryl would calm her and lessen any tendency to carsickness. Anyone else do this? I am going to test it before we hit the road.
