Well this morning I was petting our very loveable Tuxedo female and I noticed she had gained lots of weight and remembered she hadn't been in heat for awhile. We figure the babies will be here on July 14 or 15 Will be exciting.
NJ Angel...I realize you are excited...but now is the time to make sure to keep your tuxedo kitty indoors only and prepare her for kittens. You should set her up in a room that is quiet with a litterbox and high quality kitten food. Also, she should not be allowed outdoors again, until she has weaned her kittens and can be safely spayed. If she is a cat that is prone to escape, there should be 2 doors between her and the outside. If she became pregnant by another of your cats, now is the time to have him neutered.Originally Posted by NJAngel021

NJ Angel....I wasn't suggesting you take her to the vet to verify that she is pregnant...but I would HIGHLY encourage you get your maine coon male fixed. It is far healthier for your cat to be fixed and if you do not get him neutered..then there is a highened chance for her to become pregnant again. We would certainly like for this to be her only litter. If you need a low cost clinic to get your male neutered, I have provided a list below:Originally Posted by NJAngel021
Actually she is inside none of my cats are aloud outside cause its not safe.I don't need waste money at a vet to tell me she is going to have kittens for one I probably know more then the vet and two i watched it all happen. She mated with our male maine coon. If I see something that i can't help her with then i will spend the money
NJ Angel...I understand you plan to keep all the babies...but I'm concerned that due to the fact that you cannot afford to neuter/spay...that you are putting yourself in a situation where your female could become pregnant again. As someone who knows a lot about cats, you certainly know the risk of having two indoor intact cats. Do you have a plan for dad to be neutered prior to the July delivery? (That would be ideal...and I would still keep him away from your female due to the chance of him carrying active sperm for a month after the procedure). Also, with your plan to keep all the kittens, that will be several more spays/neuters...are you saving up right now to pay for those procedures? Again, I'm not questioning your care of your cats..but would really like to help you keep this her only litter.Originally Posted by NJAngel021
I watched them breed cats I we wanted babies? They babies aren't leaving us I don't trust other people? I've had kittens along time ago we know how to care for them. They are the only two that are not spayed cause at this tim i due not have 400 to get them fixed.I don't use cheap vets cause I don't trust them I lost a cat cause the vet screwed up and all he could say was oh I am sorry. I rather go the high cost to someone who actually knows what they are doing and doesn't leave the stomach muscle cut. and yes breeding of people who let there cats is out of control cause people don' know how to keep their pet inside .All my cats are indoors have never been outside and never will be
