I have to write a thank you note/card to my grandmother for sending me a check for my birthday. I am absolutely horrible at writing thank you notes. I feel like I always write the same thing, I can't think of anything different to write. Could someone please offer me some samples of different things to say. I've already tried looking this up myself, but I keep finding the same basic things. Here's what I have so far, which is what I usually write but with slightly different wording:
Dear grandma,
Thank you so much for your generous gift. I think I will save it for something special. Thanks again. Love, (insert my name here).
I know I should write at least one more sentence, but I don't know what to write. We don't see each other even though we live 20 minutes apart so I obviously don't want to write something like "I hope to see you soon". I think I always start out with "Thank you so much for your generous gift", it would be nice to have something else to say. Sometimes instead of writing "I think I will save it for something special" I will write something like "I have been saving for new computer equipment, and now I can buy it".
Is it ok that I write it in an empty card? I can't write legibly in cursive, is print ok?
Ugh! This is so hard. Help me, please.
