Oh goody, Shell Blog DayOriginally Posted by hissy
I have proclaimed today to be Shell Day on my blog. She is an amazing kitty!
About the ringworm, the only thing I can do is isolate the ones together in one room that have it. It is an opportunistic fungus. Treat them with the medicine I got from the vet and let it run its course. I've had ringworm twice so I won't get it again. I have built up an immunity to it.
It can be more! We can all post it onto facebook - you go to Shell's ChipIn page and click on the facebook logo - I think they have other means to sharing too. If you have a Blog or website, you can add the Widget to your sidebar - I did it to mine, and it is really easy! We can email friends and such... Be on the look out! Soon there will be new and exciting ways to help Shell!Originally Posted by Feralvr
OH you are welcome, I only wish it could be more.... but that is a great total amount of donations so far!! Thanks for the update on the cause, I was wondering how that was going and hope it keeps building, Shell is such an angel.
Sounds like a great plan for ShellOriginally Posted by Carolina

Sounds like a great plan for Shell. I have a lot of cat loving friends and can forward on Shell's ChipIn page. "it takes a village"
the woman isn't right in her head, and for some reason Shell is the only one of the group that wasn't being cared for. Without knowing fully all of the details, it is possible that Shell was injured and couldn't eat, or the other cats bothered her and ran her off, or she has had these rodent ulcers for a long time and you can't really eat with huge water type like blisters in your mouth.Originally Posted by herekittykitty8
Without meaning to cross any lines (and I do hope I'm not with this question...) but is anything going to happen with the previous "human" who was supposed to care for Shell? I read on the blog that there were other cats with her who seemed to be somewhat taken care of. I know we don't know WHY Shell was treated this way - but I'm wondering if there are going to be any investigations into the woman who did treat her this way to make sure it doesn't happen to another cat?
Again - if this is crossing the line, or not something that should be discussed publically - I apologize. I just am so affected by Shell, like so many others and have been wondering this since reading the blogs about her.
