I think you did the right thing too. Gut instinct is usually a pretty good indicator of whether something is good or bad. I definitely would have reported them too.

Hmm. If they were lost, why would they run off when they saw MA and her husband? You know, if they were lost, they would be happy to see someone to ask for direction, not run off. They most likely were up to no good.

I definitely would have reported it. You did the right thing. You were awfully brave to follow them so closely. I would have been fearful of them having guns.
