I honestly don't know about cats,My feral colony will ignore a piece of pizza on the road but eat the meat out of a kebab and leave the rest.

And I have seen domestic cats sit eating a piece of pizza

So wether ferals 'know' whats bad and take their pick,I don't know.

I would look at the meal itself,if theres any meat in it,I'd give them just the meat to be safe.

If I have any bread, spuds,veg,nuts (Shhh don't tell the gutter gangers)even the leftover little bits of millet from my cockatiel goes on my porch roof to the birds and squirells

Cake,cheese,banana skins,fruit and leftovers go out to the fox,just high enough off the ground so the hedgehogs can't get it.

Any left over kittie food is put in a dish for the hedgehogs

The only thing I don't put out are sharp chicken bones.
