Well, I was on my way to my cabin with my parents on Friday evening. They needed my help building the deck (which is why I wasn't able to do the QOTD. Thanks again for covering for me Rigel). And on our way to the cabin, we hit a deer. We are all ok but my Pathfinder is totaled. The radiator was pushed in over a foot farther than it should be. It still runs and the engine itself is fine, I just needed to fix the radiator and coolant reserve. Or that's what the thought before I checked the frame. It's bent like it was wrapped around a pole. And seeing how it was a 1994 with over 300000 KM on it, it's not worth it to fix it.
It was pretty late at night and the deer just appeared from no where. Fortunately, we were right across the street from a farm. So we stayed there until a tow truck got there (we were about an hour away from any major cities and 2 hours away from home). I then called my uncle to see if he could pick us up and all of our supplies. The Pathfinder was loaded full with food and tools and stuff. He brought his van and picked us up and took us out to the cabin so we could drop off some of the stuff we had like a table saw and some lumber so we didn't have to worry about bringing it next time and so we could all get some sleep. We were planning on just staying the night but since the cabin is sort of off the beaten path most of the roads around there are all dirt and with all the rain that we got (4.5 inches according to our rain gauge) it was too muddy to go home. So I just got home now and I need to start looking for a new vehicle now. Not what I was hoping for on my May long weekend. Here's some pictures for you since Rigel told me to take lots of picture of my trip. I don't think this is quite what he had in mind.
These next 4 are of the deer. They are a bit graphic.

And here's 2 of my uncle Wayne who picked us up and his 2 pugs Abby and Churchill.
