told my bf your guys' opinions...i guess i didn't have the whole story. the wood on the house is rotting so we have to paint it for it to look okay..and we DO have a divided section of the yard for the dogs with weeds about as tall as i am. he says he doesn't care anymore and is tempted to just hit the road. i'm trying to figure this out but he just doesn't seem to want my help..thanks anyways, guys....(worried again)

You can use a string trimmer (rent one if you don't have one) to cut down the tall weeds and it wouldn't take too long. As for the rotting wood painting is only a cosmetic solution and won't help long term. I think you need to sit down with your bf to come up with a plan. Good luck to you.
