It is no consolation, but in life, I'd rather be known by strangers as someone who would care enough, and be determined enough, to find a way to save these two. Surely they have a bit of luck on their side, to have landed in your care.

Have a good trip, hopefully, you'll find someone for whom a simple car delivery of the two is not a problem.
