Aww Good Luck Sam!!!!! We used to be called 5th formers too, but now it's called Year 10 - I liked 5th form better
Do some people leave school after the 5th form in New Zealand - they can in England. Students who wish to study for entrance to University then stay on until they're 18 in what we used to call the 6th form (now years 12 and 13). My daughter's in her last year of "6th form" now.
What would you like to do when you leave school - sorry if you've been asked this loads of time before
Enjoy your schooldays - they're great. My daughter said to me the other day, I can't believe this is the last January I'll be at school *sniff*
I asked to be put in a special maths class and I was so I'm happy about that.Originally Posted by Kiwideus
In my time, you had the choice to stay after 5th form or to continue onto 7th form and do bursary exams for entering university. How I remember and hated my 5th form year - I really struggled in maths and had to have a private tutor which didnt help at all - he made me do it the old fashioned way - no calculator - using a book for sin, cos and tan!I told my parents that it wasnt helping so they stopped it - and I still failed maths. But I did pass the rest of my subjects to allow me to go onto 6th form, which was a lot easier!!!
But we didnt have Information Management Technology in my time - what is that??
Good luck Sam with School Certificate Year!

After I've left school I'd like to become a History Teacher or a Homeopath.
