I recently got a new baby (born 6/2/17) so she’s almost 5 months old. Her coat isn’t as long as my other Persians. It’s dense enough I guess but just not very long. I’m wondering if it’s due to the fact that she’s a summer baby and it will lengthen as winter rolls into full swing or if this is it and she’ll just have shorter fur than some other Persians.

Just so you can see her genetics I’ve posted her parents. Adult calico in pic below is her mom.

His guy below is her dad.

And here’s my new girl. What do y’all think?

Her parents are both very full-coated, so I think that likely her coat will fill out, maybe she has just "blown coat" for the summer.

Kittens around 5 months start to loose their baby fur and start to grow their regular coat up until they are 1 year old. So there is a chance she might be as fluffy as the parents.
