I remember stories from my grandmother. Back when checks weren't pre-printed, Grandpa would borrow someone else's checks and write them against his account but wouldn't tell Grandma so she never had any idea of what was written against the account. And this was long before the days of online banking. This would just drive her nutty and she would chew him to pieces. Keep in mind that she was about 5'1" and Grandpa was over 6 foot.
