We took Smudge to the vet this morning. He has terminal cancer. He has a growth in his mouth and his stomach. The vet says the prognosis is bad. He's only 3 1/2.
I have already had 2 cats die this year of other causes. We're just devastated.
The irony about Smudge is that he's from a litter of 4; 3 are FeLv+, but very healthy--in fact, they're the healthiest (and best-looking) of our 7 cats. Smudge was the only one without FeLV.
